Hello, is there anyone techie who could help make my profile page look prettier please?

Right now it's just one long thin blurb of text and I don't know how to make it better. I'd like it to look nicer and be easier to read.

Ideally I'd like some different fonts, a background colour maybe (like pink!!!) and a way to break up the text.

(I hope it's ok to ask this?)

So first you'll need to put your profile into the "About me" section. You have it in interests right now. You go to Settings then scroll down to "Edit my about me page" and you should be able to find different fonts and colours there.

To change your background go to "Profile Customization" in settings.

Ohh I had no idea I've got it in the wrong place

Thank you so much Barbie! I'll check that out properly tomorrow when I'm less tired.

Hallo *adjust suspenders* I believe I can halps.

General Info

If you're using mobile version, you can spruce your profile by using some of the following codes. The forum topics, signatures and profiles all use BCCode, rather than HTML or CSS.

However, if you are using the Full Version and have access to the customization menu, try utilizing all the different tools provided. Some of them I will be using here in order to organize and separate the content provided.

Basic Font, IMG and Media Codes

[b] text here [/b] for bold font
[i] text here [/i] for italics
[u] text here [/u] underscore text
[s] text here [/s] strikethrough text

[list] (turns text section into bullet points)
[*] first list item here
[*] second item here
[/list] (closes off bullet point section)

[center] text here [/center] centers your text

[color=red] text here [/color] will change your font colour
You can find cool new colours by googling HTML Color Codes, or HEX Codes. The colour codes look like this: #BBFF33

[img=imageURLhere] will insert an image (image urls end with things like .png, .jpeg, .gif, .jpg)

[media]youtubeLink[/media] will insert a youtube video, whichever link you insert

Font Style Codes

(BBCode) Put in Spoiler Box due to quantity of content.

To use a font style that is not listed in the Forum's default font menu, you can do so by using the following code. There is an error with the forum where Comic Sans will occasionally turn into this really hard to read cursive font, depending what device you are on.

[font=cambria][b]Cambria[/b][/font]

e.g. Cambria

Category Ideas

  • About Me
  • Likes
  • Hobbies & Interests
  • Dislikes
  • My Plushies/My Pets and a lil bio for each of them
  • Favourite Books/Movies/Music
  • Or Putting certain content into Spoiler Boxes, to make your profile appear more compact and organised. People can just open the spoilers to view specific content.

Personal or Friend Zone Ads

Consider adding a link to these in your profile so people who may be interested, and are viewing your profile, can quickly be directed to them. (Not meaning you specifically, just anyone who's here lookin' for help).

Profile Background IMG

To add a cool background image you can google search things like:
Cute tile background wallpaper
And make sure you select "tile image" in your customization settings.

PC/Mac, Get IMG URL

Right click the image in your browser.

Firefox: "Copy Image Location"

Safari: "Copy Image Address"

Chrome: "Copy Image Address"

Image from your device? Upload to postimages.org, then select Direct Link.

If you are using an image URL/link for your bg image, make sure you check the beginning of the link.
If it says "https://" remove the s, so it says "http://" or the link won't work.

Edit: I made it prettier and hopefully easier to read through.

Could you let me know please: is there a way to "preview" what I've done before I save it? Or do I have to keep saving and then re-editing it?

You have to Save it, unfortunately.

But you can always hit the little switch in the top left corner that turns it into the BBCode view,

select all text,

copy and paste that somewhere safe,

before you make changes.

In case you don’t like it and want to revert.

Just flip the lil switch to change it back to the normal editor view.

Edit: Sorry, I’m half asleep and didn’t realise it was two separate comments.

Yes, I usually keep it as draft email to myself.
