mallowbite Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 I'm moving in with my Daddy soon and we have an extra room we want to make into a play room. I've never built one before and so far have just picked out a few things, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for some must haves? Maybe some advice from caregivers on things that will make the room fun for Daddy too? I want the room to be subtle, something where I can put most of the toys and obviously little stuff away and still have company come over without having to keep the room private. So far I just have a pastel theme. I'd appreciate any good decorating tips, advice about storage, or just tell me about your own playroom and maybe it will give me some inspiration!
Guest Kitty~ Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 My play room is small but includes a toy box where I ''hide'' all my stuffies and dolls. A toy box can be a good idea to store all your things and comes in a variety of colors from plain to printed ones, and you can secretly store your stuff there while still keeping the littleness. I say add a beanie chair, or one of those soft cushion chairs to sit in cause those are fun and come in a variety of colors as well to really spice up the room. I'm a mommy and I think I would really enjoy a playroom with lots of colors, a place where we could cuddle at, some soft chairs to sit in, a table to maybe eat snacks at and have little tea parties with my little. For me a playroom is all about seeing my little happy, so whatever they had in it I would probably love cause their happy and love it. I say also some posters on the wall of cute things you like can really help liven up the room too. 1
mallowbite Posted January 24, 2020 Author Report Posted January 24, 2020 You sound like a good Mommy. I think my Daddy is that way too, he asked if I wanted him to get anything for the playroom and I'm excited he wants to participate in helping me make it a fun space for us. I love the idea of a table for tea parties! We could use it for crafts and puzzles as well. Thank you for your ideas!
neko Posted January 25, 2020 Report Posted January 25, 2020 maybe some shelves to store less obvious little space toys? like figures, plushies, funko pops, etc?
