Things you do for comfort...

Im feeling a little  off center right now, and have a few things i go to when i need comforting, the major one being sucking my thumb along with holding my favourite item >.<  I'm just curious what other littles do when they are in need and not able to get cuddles from a cg? Do you have a favourite item or a habit that makes you feel safe or settled?

Definitely sucking my paci and a stuffie in my arms. I put on some cartoons and curl up on the couch or bed.

I love to paint. I started using watercolors and paint my Daddy a picture to show him. Doing something for him while I miss him or feel distant from him makes me feel a closeness to him as if I am with him. Yoga and meditation are also really, really helpful for me.

My pacifiers, bottles,  def using one of those squishy toys or stuffies and holding them, playing with dolls...and my toys and having  a little fun day for myself where I escape the big world!

For me it's usually warm blanket, onesie (or literally regular clothes, but warm ones) and cuddling a stuffie while watching a calming/not so serious show or movie. I do use my paci sometimes too, but it makes my jaw hurt & that kinda ruins the moment if I use it more than a few mins.

Sorry you're not feeling so good. But it is good you have ways to comfort yourself!

Sometimes I need to NOT feel little as it's too vulnerable and I stick to adult activities until I feel stronger emotionally. Especially if I'm feeling lonely and wanting a Daddy.

Other times I get comfy with a teddy (stuffIe) and my paci and just curl up for a bit.

Also generally distracting myself can be helpful - and comforting in a different sort of way - going for a walk, even doing housework, getting errands done etc. Only you know if you're better off being alone or with friends, being quiet or watching tv ... whatever it is that works for you, do it!

Hope you feel better tomorrow!

Thanks for all the replies :) I like the idea of warm milk, i think i might borrow that one ^^ A lot of you have stuffies to cuddle, im not a huge stuffie lover, but i do have a pillowcase that i fiddle with, and that helps me sleep / calm down / relax. @Looby-Lou, yeah i know what you mean about being vulnerable, sometimes i find it hard to get over my feelings enough to be able to "adult", and i get stuck >.< On those days, i find it difficult to reach out and ask for help, another reason i like having this space to come to <3

I usually cocoon myself up in a big fuzzy blanket and listen to a DDlg-themed ASMR. My favorite ASMRtist is Pudding ASMR, but there are others out there. :) That really helps me when I'm little and feeling lonely, when I'm having bad anxiety, or when I'm having trouble falling asleep. It might help you, too!

If I get lonely for a Daddy I usually turn on my YouTube watch later list. I always have like 400-500 videos in there. It will have some little videos and some adult stuff mixed together. I let play through.

My better option is I'm a day dreamer. I love getting lost in my mind (for the most part), so I'll imagine adventures, attend little party. Experiencing daily life as a little is much more fun, so I'll imagine that.
