kitten1028 Posted January 9, 2020 Report Posted January 9, 2020 My Daddy got yelled at today because he’s in the Marines and drank with his Father, he’s been upset all day and hasn’t spoken to me except to tell me what happened. Can any of you give me options to help make him happy? I wanted to send him goofy photos of me and write him a paragraph but I don’t know what to do...
SmolAetherr Posted January 9, 2020 Report Posted January 9, 2020 well.. getting yelled is a fact of life in the marines, i would be shocked if he is not adapted to that already infact they go through much tougher things to be ready to do what they need to do all i can say is if he has not told you why he is upset just be you, make him feel special those ideas you already had are good ones but if he asks for space or doesent want to talk about it, be sure to respect that! you may find its best to let him brood for a while and wait for him to bounce back on his own 2
Guest Lavendar Bunni Wubbins Posted January 9, 2020 Report Posted January 9, 2020 Colour a cute picture & text it to him, or take a silly/cute picture of yourself, maybe find something cute/small to send him in the mail (postcard, silly letter, something sweet like that). 1

You sound very thoughtful, he is lucky! 1
Musalot Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 Send him songs to listen to that makes you think of him. And let him know these songs make you think of him / us. That always helps me through a rough day in the military. 2
Ebony Fruit Bat Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 Did you decide what to do yesterday? If not I suggest you send him the pictures you were thinking of, if it's your way of showing support you should do it! Another idea would be to draw hearts every time you think of him. Show him the pic, let him know what it's for and that you thinks he's super special and a great person, no matter what happened yesterday.
