BabyBunnyBunting Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 Just a quick question, how does everyone else refer to their own little self? Sometimes I treat my little self as a part of my personality i.e. 'i like dinosaurs', and other times i refer to my little self as a separate person, i.e. 'she likes dinosaurs'. I feel like referring to my little side in the third person is a bit silly, i don't know.
Guest QueenJellybean Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 i refer to mine in the third person. i even call her 'Baby'. i don't think it's weird at all. whatever works for you.
Sean Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 I've never referred to my little self in the 3rd person. I admit that I am my little self, but what ever works for you, you know? if it seems a little silly to you, try referring to yourself in the first like others.
Guest Looby-Lou Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 I'm sure you're not alone with this. Anyway, if it comes naturally to you and you like it, then don't worry about it or what others might think - anyone close to you i.e. anyone who matters, will get used to it I have a nickname which refers to me as "little" and use it in a similar way to little Kaiya. Having a name for me as a little can come in very handy, especially when out in public. Let's just say I use the name Looby ... e.g. "Looby would like that" pointing to a dolly in a shop. This way no one around us is embarrassed, but the person I'm speaking to understands perfectly. It's also VERY useful when discussing relationship dynamics with a Daddy/Dom. It helps make a clear distinction between adult & little wants/needs/capabilities etc. Looby
junebug0325 Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 I don't reference myself the way you do. I'm not in littlespace all the time but I recognize that that is a part of me. So if I'm talking to someone, regardless of age, I will say "I like dinosaurs"... because I like dinosaurs even if I'm not in littlespace. Sometimes when I am talking to Daddy about certain things specifically to little space I will say things along the lines of "when I'm in littlespace" or "when I'm little" to talk to him. Normally when I'm saying this it's to talk about certain things I feel when I'm little. Anyways, to answer your question in a short answer: no. I don't. But that's because littlespace is part of me and I'm not a different person nor do I like different things. But obviously, everyone is different and everyone has their own way of doing things. So just be you! Junebug xxx
BabyBunnyBunting Posted January 2, 2020 Author Report Posted January 2, 2020 Hmmm, thank you everyone for your input so far! It's occurred to me that perhaps the reason i switch between referring to my Little side in first and third person, is because i can't always tell how Little I'm feeling? Like, sometimes it's obvious I'm Little, but it's also a huge part of my everyday personality too, so there's no clear cut move from Big to Little headspace... any thoughts?
