131736_1655600858 Posted December 20, 2019 Report Posted December 20, 2019 So my little age is 6 and my best friend, who's super supportive of me, wondered if my little age is too old to use a bottle. I was wondering what others in the community think about this. Any advice and input is super helpful.
Little kaiya Posted December 20, 2019 Report Posted December 20, 2019 If you want to use a bottle then use a bottle, it's really that simple. Little ages are a guide, not some hard rule that you have to follow. If your little age is 6 you don't have to try an emulate an actual 6 year old, just do you. 2
PigtailPrincess Posted December 20, 2019 Report Posted December 20, 2019 I think too much emphasis is placed on our ages as littles. The reality is we are adults and therefore will most likely have a full spectrum of interests that are specific to us personally. At any one time I can show a variety of ages in my actions, as i am sure alot of us can, and that is ok. I have learned that as long as it is right for you and doesn't hurt anyone else then go for it! 3
Gnoodles Mc Goober Posted December 20, 2019 Report Posted December 20, 2019 Hai! So sometimes I'm 5-7 and I still use a bottle, I was told it was "too old" to use a bottle and a paci but it makes me happy! Smols think you have to act your smol age but that's just a misconception, There's no right or wrong way to be smol as long as your happy! )) 1
131736_1655600858 Posted December 20, 2019 Author Report Posted December 20, 2019 Thank you guys!! My friend was thinking as a teacher (we've both worked in childcare, I still do) and just wanted to know.
junebug0325 Posted December 22, 2019 Report Posted December 22, 2019 Hi there! In my opinion, I think that a lot of unneccesary emphesis on our little ages that sometimes makes us think that we can't do what we want. But truth is, we are all adults and everyone has their own spectrum of things they like. If you want to use a bottle, then use a bottle. It really is that simple. Don't let others tell you what you should and shouldn't like. Just be you! Also, just from personal experience, I have a wide age range from infant to 5 or 6, and I use a bottle regardless of headspace. Thanks for reading! Junebug xxx 2
thesoftestprincess Posted December 31, 2019 Report Posted December 31, 2019 I think it's totally fine to use a bottle, regardless of your little age. Mine is 4-6 and I love using my paci and bottle, but not usually all the time. I think it's all about what feels right to you! 1
dollybabycakes Posted January 3, 2020 Report Posted January 3, 2020 As others have said, I think that too much emphasis is placed on little age within the community. I personally find it very hard to identify with a particular little age as I love a little bit from all ages. Please don't feel as though you're confined to the items generally associated with the age you identify with. It's your little space! If you want to use a bottle, go ahead! Bottles are awesome. There is no right or wrong way to be a little. Good luck!! 1
131736_1655600858 Posted January 6, 2020 Author Report Posted January 6, 2020 So I got 2 bottles from the dollar store (I'm broke af and my daddy lives in Scotland) but I think I also wanna get some different ones eventually.
Guest InsideAna Posted March 1, 2020 Report Posted March 1, 2020 My little age is from 3-7 and I still like bottles sometimes ☺️
chateautal Posted March 1, 2020 Report Posted March 1, 2020 The concept of little age is meant to be more of a (very often overused) guideline or hint to what one likes, rather than a rule of what you can and can't do. I would definitely never let it get in the way of trying something you're curious about! 1
