Have any achievements you completed this year? Any victories small or large are worth celebrating! With 2019 wrapping up soon, please tell me all about it and share some good news. Pat yourself on the back too lol. Also what are your goals for 2020?

2019 was over all great for me. It had some small ups and downs but over all I am glad I moved forward and experience lots of self growth.

I sold lots of art

Made tons of new friends

Realized how self-reliant and strong I am

Got a job again and loving it

Added on a lot of stuff to my little room / art room

2020 is looking like it's gonna be amazing

Some of my goals are ...

Save up and starting to tattoo

Do a few art events

Do more art collaborations

Travel more

I'd like to make management at my job

Keep self improving and moving forward

2019 was a dumpster-fire, for me and everyone I know, but i survived and half helped start up a new grooming salon with my friend. I also got a second job to help out while we work on getting more clients. I work with a pitbull rescue and honestly its super rewarding having some of the most fear aggressive dogs in the rescue turn into complete blubber in your hands once they learn your not going to hurt them. Honestly I like it more than my career right now but i also only just started there.

2020 I want to pay off my student loans so its one less thing i have to worry about and then work on paying off my car. Maybe moving out on my own again will be a thing maybe not trying to skip that renting business is hard so thats a toss up. Hoping to bring in more business to the shop too so i don't have to work 2 jobs and can just volunteer when i want.

WOW that's so awesome. I hope you are able to get it all sorted out. Very good causes. Baby steps and I am sure you will get there. Best wishes to you in 2020

Keeping upbeat can be a struggle. I know that for sure. That is such a good goal. You got this!

Goal for 2020 is to get my health in order, have surgery in January. After that the goal is to return to a solid workout regiment and maybe even restart my path towards a black belt!

I didn't really have set goals for 2019 as 2018 was a very hectic period for me but I believe I've achieved much and grew as a person. Oh, another goal for 2020 is to read more books, that's gonna be a hard one...

2019, was, to put it bluntly, the year of change.

I put myself out there writing (have over 700 followers now after 7 months of work).

I taught myself how to install a proper patio.

I taught myself how to put in a floor in a camper in a way that was well insulated.

I learned how to do paneling.

I proved to myself, once again, that I can be patient when I'm sick and unable to get out of bed.

I learned how to redo countertops the wrong and right way.

I learned how to strip paint. (Freaking stairs.)

I discovered I can be very happy even through job loss, massive uncertainty, and not knowing what I'll be living in or where I'll be moving to next.

2020 goals:

Find a place to live.

Find a job.

Get back to writing and publishing 5 days a week.

Figure out how to self-publish and...

Publish a book. Probably finish a bunch of others and get those published, too...

2019 was a year... In April I managed to finally get out of a toxic relationship of two and a half years though. And I joined this wonderful forum after being introduced to it by an awesome person ^^

My goals for 2020 are

- to get a job that pays enough so I don't need multiple jobs just to live (and one that I can hopefully enjoy doing for a good while),
- find a special person to call my own and care for,
- and finally make some damn music I can release! XD

Perhaps my biggest 2019 accomplishment was finally getting a job. The last time I had a paying job was 2013-2014 when I worked minimum wage part time retail. In 2015 and 2016 I had two temporary internships, the first as an education and outreach intern with an environmental nonprofit, and the second as an environmental education apprentice with the US Forest Service at a national recreation area. When I came home end of 2016 I didn't want to do another nonpaying internship in an isolated area. But soon I got in a rut of nothing and my long-time anxiety got worse. Applying for jobs was stressful, I felt unqualified for most or was afraid I wouldn't be able to handle it. But in July I stumbled upon an ad for a fall seasonal environmental education job only two hours away at a YMCA camp, and I applied (with help from my mom pushing me to complete it through my anxiety) and got a response in record time (literally five minutes). The interview was easy and it was clear they really wanted me. Getting the number and types of references I needed was weird and took a little while, but the day after the last one was submitted I was accepted for the job, which went from August until end of November.

And not only that, but I liked the job too! I made it through the uneasiness of realizing my provided housing included not just housemates but a roommate too sharing the room where I slept and kept my stuff. And she was 17, the youngest person on full time staff (she turned 18 in October). Soon though we got along well and we had a lot of interests in common and we're friends now. Making new friends is so hard for me, so that is a big accomplishment too! And I will be returning for the same job in March for the spring season. After that I don't know. Maybe I will stay for summer or do something else.

In May I went to my first real concert! In childhood I was dragged along with my parents to some tiny local concerts of tribute artists and once in high school my school won a free OK Go concert (but I didn't know any of their songs). And I never was obsessive enough over any popular band to even consider going to a concert. But, I've developed a very very favorite band I love with all my heart within the last few years and when they announced their new album and world tour for 2019 I was just waiting for US dates (they're based in Europe and do most concerts there but try to get to other continents for dedicated fans elsewhere). They had one east coast US date in Worcester, MA, so I bought a front floor ticket and then had to figure out how to get there. My dad helped me find the cheapest transportation, an overnight bus from Philadelphia to Boston, then a Greyhound to Worcester. And he helped me get a hotel room. Then, over a month before the trip, I started making a flag to show my love. I found old fabric scraps my mom had, measured out letters on paper, drew pictures of symbols of the band, cut everything out, traced it onto fabric pieces, and hand sewed it all together. The last week I worked nonstop because I had no idea hand sewing would take that long, but I was so proud of it. My dad dropped me off at the bus station and I went on my way, barely getting any sleep on the bus. Then I went to the wrong hotel (who would've known there were two Marriots in the city?) of course walking a mile away when I could've just gone two blocks. I was graciously given a ride to the right one by the hotel. But it was so early that my room wasn't ready, so I ended up finding a library and hanging out there for a few hours. I chose to finish the last piece of my flag rather than taking a nap or eating, so I went to the concert sleep deprived and hungry, soon becoming dehydrated as well because I didn't bring water. But I did my best to sing along to everything and wave my arms. It was an adventure. And the next day I went back to Boston and wandered around while waiting for the bus at 11pm. What an accomplishment! And of course when the band returns to the US next I will do it again, going where I need to go.

Those were my biggest accomplishments of 2019.
