What do you do for Easter?

Well it's closing in on that egg-tastic day we call Easter, and I've seen some members have been decorating eggs.

I was wondering what you all do for Easter each year, perhaps something special with your Little or Daddy, or something with your family.

Being Maltese, my entire family make these traditional biscuits with we call Figolli. They're either plain or filled with almonds or dates and shaped in traditional Easter shapes like eggs, rabbits, chickens, etc; though we do have other shapes like cars, guitars and people.

After they're cooked we make glazing with icing sugar, lemon juice and food colouring- decorating and covering them in sugar sprinkles and other candy assortments.

They look like this in end and are extremely yummy noms, the best thing about Easter for me

This year Munchkin and I are doing a few things. Neither of us have family we celebrate holidays with so we really try to make the most of it together. We'll be dying eggs and baking cookies the night before Easter, then Easter morning we'll be doing Scripture and Communion, then Easter breakfast of hot dogs and eggs (munchkins favorite) then Easter candy noms, and lastly Easter dinner with the cookies for dessert.

Easter (next week for me) is the 2nd most important holiday; all about good food and tradition over here. Mother might try and drag me to the monastary xD .When it rings midnight on Easter Eve we each take a coloured egg and go in pairs to see which cracks, the winner goes to the next round and so on. The next morning we set a red egg in water and use that slightly coloured water to wash our cheeks with.  I cannot wait for the lamb haggis and sweet cheese bread . Unfortunately daddy cannot  be with me again this year but this will be the last time we're unable to celebrate together.
