TheShortPuff Posted September 17, 2015 Report Posted September 17, 2015 Hi, I'm new to the forums and kind of new to the ddlg community in general. I have a question about how I could bring up this dynamic with the guy I am dating. I have known about and thought I fit into this dynamic for nearly a year now, and I have been dating this man for just about 5 months now. He knows that I have a lot of childlike tendencies and enjoy childish things, but I don't know how to actually bring this up to him. He seems to fit right into the role of being a Daddy, he likes reading to me, brushing my hair, etc. I feel like he would be understanding about it, especially since I feel like we already kind of are working in the dynamic. I'm just nervous! Does anyone have any advice?
Pablo Neruda Posted September 17, 2015 Report Posted September 17, 2015 Just tell him. Be honest and open about it. If he has had no problems with you acting slightly childish, that's a good sign. Think about questions he could ask and possible answers, tell him what being little means to you, how you would picture your relationship in a dd/lg dynamic, what you would expect/like him to do for you and provide material he can read up on. There's plenty of blogs that explain the dynamic. Educate him about the D/s dynamic in general. Give him time to reflect and read, if he truly cares for you he will give it a shot and try to understand it. The advice that I usually give if someone wants to be open about something "unusual", is to act like it's not a huge deal. Be calm and decisive when you approach him, be straight forward and he will be too.
Guest MyDaddyMyWorld Posted September 17, 2015 Report Posted September 17, 2015 I would say if he is already acting that way, how much need is there to talk to him about it? I suppose if you want to start calling him daddy, thats a conversation you need to have though.
