When you’re not with your daddy

I’m very new to dd/lg (about 3 months). My daddy and I spend time together on the weekends and the relationship is strictly dd/lg. During the week we might send a few texts but prefer to live separate lives. But I’m finding it hard to keep from thinking about him, to an almost distracting amount. I feel like he’s taking up too much of my emotional bandwidth, if that makes any sense. I’m very confused by this and a friend wondered if it might be a reaction to being a submissive. Would like to know if other littles have experienced this.

I definitely spend a lot of time thinking about my Daddy but I also spend just as much time thinking about my Wife. I'm still very much my own capable person but I'm emotionally invested in them because I love them heart, body, mind and soul. Personally I couldn't image containing our Daddy/little or Dom/sub relationship to just weekends, just like I couldn't do that with my Wife. For me I'm either in a committed relationship or I'm not.

 

I am also my Daddy's collared submissive but I wouldn't say that makes me think more or less about him than my Wife.

 

For your situation you're also very much still in the honeymoon phase of things. Three months is still very early on so, like any relationship, it makes sense that you're emotionally invested and spending a lot of time thinking about him. Honestly,

you might be doing the same if it wasn't a DDlg relationship. I wouldn't say your reaction is because if the DDlg or submissively elements, rather it just sounds like the being in a new relationship thing in my humble opinion.

I am losing my mind because I am used to spending all of my free time with Daddy. He went away and I dont know what to do with myself. All I want to do is sleep so I dont have to think about missing him.
