How to explain to your families how you met?

Like many of us, my little and I met online here through these forums. For those of you who started in an LDR and ended up being local, what did you tell your families/friends in terms of how you met? My idea is just to pick an online dating site and run with it, but my little is concerned about keeping the same consistent story. Let me hear the approach all of you took when introducing your partner!

Could always say that you met on an online forum for a mutual interest you share. It's the truth which is easy to keep up but still vague to keep your privacy.

I second BitterAngel's suggestion. Why ho into a ton of details? My Daddy and I met at a furry conference but when asked by people we don't know or by folks who may have a hard time understanding the furry community we usually just say a conference and leave it at that, no need for extra details all the time.

I used this when people ask where I met Daddy... We're still in an ldr but when people ask, I just say this
