Kaspienchu Posted July 9, 2019 Report Posted July 9, 2019 I haven't done very many posts--but I wasn't sure where else to go? I've been wanting to venture out and find other kinky people in my town (or nearby) and I've been looking at fetlife mostly as a starting point. My biggest issue is not knowing--what should I expect, what do I wear? It makes it that much worse because I have anxiety and dealing with people is not my biggest strong point, I've tried to see about getting someone to come with me but it only brings up another issue. The only friend I have that I would be comfortable in going to any kinky place lives 7 hours away from me. Now I've talked to them about it and they've told me to "just go and experience it" and I really really want to, I'm just being held back by that fear of the unknown. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? ;; . Sorry if I didn't make any sense!
xBabydollx Posted July 9, 2019 Report Posted July 9, 2019 When u go to kinky events or local dungeons, can u contact whoever is hosting it? Then u can ask what to wear, what to expect, and things like that. If it's not a play party then I doubt anything too crazy would be happening, probably just chatting and maybe some mild demonstrations. Hopefully u can get in contact with the hosts. As for attire, can never go wrong with something casual. If you're meeting a kinky person on fetlife vs going to events...that's something else entirely lol. Either way, I hope u set up some safety percussions with a friend like time interval check ins over the phone.
Kaspienchu Posted July 12, 2019 Author Report Posted July 12, 2019 I think so, I'm using fetlife to find meet ups and events near me. It's my starting point kind of to get into the community more than online. I don't think I would be comfortable meeting a person by myself anyway though ;v;
