Question About DDLG Relationships

So I'm doing a bit of research on the DDLG community due to an interest in it. I have a question, and I want to see what you guys think. My question is: Is it possible for the DDLG relationship to be platonic and no romantic? Or does romance go hand in hand with DDLG relationships?

I am sure there's quite a bit of people that have the relationship platonic, but it depends on the couple.

Absolutely, I'm sure for many people it is non-romantic, they just enjoy either caring or being cared for, or having someone to play with and enjoy child-like, fun, innocent experiences.

 

I know its not exactly what you asked, but I know for certain that its quite common for people to be completely non-sexual in their "little space". But of course for others (perhaps slightly more common?), sex is a vital part of it. Just a quick glance at the "personals" section will confirm the wide range of wants and needs that people have.

 

I think there is no true "right" or "wrong" way and people should just be open to doing whatever makes them happy.    (just be honest with your partner or prospective partners from the start, so everyone's on the same page and no-one is uncomfortable).

Yes, I have been a platonic caregiver a few times.

i personally cannot imagine sharing this lifestyle with someone im not romantically involved with as for me it requires trust and intimacy for it to work
