SpidermanBear Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 I am in a fairly new long distance DD/lg relationship. I'm currently setting up a meal plan for my little kitten, but I dont know what to do about breakfast. Before school there's not much time to prepare a full meal, so I dont know if its realistic to expect anything more than the same cereal every day. What are some creative meal plans for breakfasts on busy mornings? And what about snack foods?
BH_Bambi Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Consider breakfasts they can make the night before! Pancake batter can be stored (covered) in a fridge for a few days! Fruit pots can be prepared, just add yoghurt! One of my favourites is oats and grated apple, stirred through Greek yoghurt and honey, topped with fruit&nuts. I make it the night before and leave for the oats to soften, it's delicious and you can be creative!
vivian Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 Here are a few ideas: What about quick oatmeal? They make packets with quick cook oats...or you can make ahead and do something that is really yummy in adorable mason jars (I just picked a quick link to use, there are TONS OF OPTIONS out there...http://www.shape.com/healthy-eating/meal-ideas/7-must-try-mason-jar-meals/slide/4 Breakfast cookies! Who doesn't like cookies for breakfast? Seriously super yummy and fun to make: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ellie-krieger/breakfast-cookies-recipe.html I like English muffins toasted with peanut butter/ bananas/honey/strawberries. Easy grab and go What about Smoothies? Those are easy to make, freeze then thaw in the fridge on her way out the door. Vivie
Lisa Posted September 3, 2015 Report Posted September 3, 2015 I usually have coffee, egg, and meat (sausage, turkey sausage, bacon, turkey bacon). "Cereal" has lots of different options, but not what I eat everyday.. I wouldn't put too much energy/time into the breakfast meals. I find that because I am so busy in the mornings, it is easy to eat the same things over/over. But, lunch and dinner need some real variety/interest. I don't snack much. But, protein bars, greek yogurt, roasted/salted edamame, etc. are good choices. #protein-freak
Beckie Posted September 3, 2015 Report Posted September 3, 2015 Ooohhh cooking related question!!!!! Okay so, I am at college and I love things I can grab and go with: granola and Greek yogurt with honey/ aquave nectar is my favorite. If I had an oven and muffin pans I'd make mini quiches bc they're awesome. They can be stored overnight. But simple things like cereal and fruit or oatmeal are quick and easy ways to make sure she eats without taking up too much time.
Tomas42 Posted September 15, 2015 Report Posted September 15, 2015 Meal planning!! That sounds good. I have also made the meal plan yesterday. I have decided to take Green drink at least once in a day. Actually I was feeling so week lately so I thought that I should make proper meal plan to get important nutrients.
