Eeriedreams23 Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 I've just started learning how to knit. I can only make scarfs but I know several knit stitch patterns. I was wondering if anyone else here knits? And hopefully someone might know a pattern to make a stuffie? I've tried googling but almost all the patterns I found were for crochet. Or so extremely complicated that the pattern made my head spin!
DaddyRaven Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 sorry, i wish I could help. I actually make stuffies but I sew them, I don't knit. 1
Guest DollyGirly Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 I searched "free easy stuffed animal knitting patterns" patterns and found this adorable puppy! https://shop.mybluprint.com/knitting/patterns/puppy/127764 Here's the rest of the page that says all of these listed are free and easy: https://www.allfreeknitting.com/Childrens-Knit-Toys I don't know how to knit, but I thought using a bigger search term might help you out. I know that with all crafty things the term "easy" doesn't always mean it's actually easy though. Hope you find some cute things to knit! 2
Eeriedreams23 Posted May 28, 2019 Author Report Posted May 28, 2019 Thank you! I haven't seen this puppy and it looks like something I might be able to do!
Guest Looby-Lou Posted May 28, 2019 Report Posted May 28, 2019 I'm a knitter I do mostly baby clothes (for real babies/children), but some of my friends make toys. It would be so special to have a stuffy that you've made yourself, what a great idea. I hope you enjoy making it...and put a photo in the gallery for us all to see please! Looby 1
Eeriedreams23 Posted May 29, 2019 Author Report Posted May 29, 2019 I've made a baby blanket once. It was so so soft~ I think making baby clothes is awesome! I've look at some clothing patterns and they look too hard for me at the moment. I'll get there though! Once I figure it out, I'll definitely post pictures!
Guest PrincessSparkles35 Posted May 29, 2019 Report Posted May 29, 2019 I like to do needlepoint and embroidery...it just takes a really long time.
Eeriedreams23 Posted May 30, 2019 Author Report Posted May 30, 2019 I think most crafts/skills involving yarn/thread takes time. I've seen some amazing nature scenes created with needlepoint~

Lots of them, all for gifts. And I've made blankets to use at home when it's chilly. But it never occurred to me that i could make a baby blanket for little me!! What a great idea. I feel so silly for not thinking of it Theybdo take a very long time...but it's fun at the same time If you enjoy the process, the actual craftwork, then the time spent on it is a pleasure (until you go wrong and have to undo it and rework it LOL) Looby 1

Little_Butterfly Posted June 14, 2019 Report Posted June 14, 2019 I can knit and crochet a little bit. I used to see and made lots of my own clothes. I can do counted cross stitch too. I have so many projects that have almost finished for years. Maybe we can all do a project at the same time! 1
Ebony Fruit Bat Posted July 13, 2019 Report Posted July 13, 2019 I can crochet. It's been a few years, but I can get it done. Does anyone have updates on their knitting, needle point of crochet crafts? I would like to see pictures. 1

Guest little_bird Posted July 13, 2019 Report Posted July 13, 2019 There is a website called Ravelry that is basically like a really nice knitting/crochet forum. It has a huge database of patterns of varying difficulties!
TinyTea Posted August 17, 2019 Report Posted August 17, 2019 OH OH OH!!! I'M A KNITTER! or rather I'm learning. I've made a couple of scarves and am going to be making a blanket for my daddy now! 1
Pup Posted August 20, 2019 Report Posted August 20, 2019 I can knit and crochet! I've never made a stuffie before, most of the time scarves, blankets and wrist warmers. I'm better at crochet then at knitting. I'm trying to knit my own pastel purple socks at the moment! If I could knit better I would definitely make this rabbit: https://www.etsy.com/nl/listing/646950009/knitting-pattern-wild-rabbit?ref=shop_home_active_9 Right now it seems to difficult for me. 1
Eeriedreams23 Posted October 27, 2019 Author Report Posted October 27, 2019 (edited) This is my blankie I'm currently working! It's called a log cabin pattern, I think? My grandma showed me how to do it. Lots of weaving ends in. ^^ Edited October 27, 2019 by Eeriedreams23 1
lacey bunny Posted October 29, 2019 Report Posted October 29, 2019 (edited) I only crochet things stuffies, scarves, and the rare blanketI'm pretty bad at knitting ): but I know sometimes places like Micheals have free patterns in the yarn section. You can also check at local book stores (or online) for books that have patterns and how tos Edited October 29, 2019 by lacey bunny 1
