Pupperoo Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 Hewwoooo ♥ Cosplay! I love the idea I've always wanted to try it and haven't because of insecurities due to being trans. Now I've decided to give it a go over time (it's expensive after all), and it'd be awesome to talk to some other Little's (or Big's, really) that already are into this Both for just chatting out of shared interest, but I'd also love some tips and mentoring if possible. The whole idea of costume making is very overwhelming, after all! Plus, not having grown up in social circles revolving much women I never learned make-up from scratch. I know the basic stuff I need to cover up the most masculine features of my face, but that's it. Would be fun talking to girls who actually like this stuff too ♥ But hey, let's just keep a discussion going here as well! I've always wanted to cosplay a variety of characters, but the one character I am leaning the most towards right now is Lux, from League of Legends. Specifically some of her alternate looks I've attached a picture of one I'll probably go for first
zanderandspike Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 me me me!!! I'm still like just getting into cosplay though My first cosplay was literly a box lol(Washer from BNHA) and I did Mic too, I really wanna do Gray(FairyTail) when he's all bundled up(gonna have to wait cause it's super hot here rn lol) And I get the trans thing, I'm ftm so a bit diffrent, but the cosplay comunity is generally speaking really open and chill about it, so you don't really need to worry about hate or anything As for costumes and makeup: youtube Also costumes don't have to be a whole lot of money/effort, some characters(in more modern settings) have normal clothing so I'd reccomend starting with that or some simple stuff first to get the hang of it
Guest LittleSnowiii Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 I love the idea but haven't done it yet. I'm thinking of cosplaying as Kanna (from dragon maid) next october for an anime conv in my country ^^

I lack that... baseline, you know?
Short-Cutie Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 I cosplay, mostly my own ocs. I know I don't look the best but my daddy thinks I look cute no matter what. I just find it as another way to express myself and would love to talk to others about it.
zanderandspike Posted May 28, 2019 Report Posted May 28, 2019 Thank you I've watched Youtube tutorials for make-ups for ages now, but they all assume a certain level of knowledge. I lack that... baseline, you know? ohh, so like,,, the basic basics? 1) Lipstick goes on the lips(need a lot of practice to get it right tbh, it's shockingly hard) 2) Eyeliner: so short little lines on the top of your eye lid as close to the lashes as you can get, start thin, thinken as you need/want 3) Eyeshadow can be aplied with your finger get a cheep(like really cheep) eyeshadow pallet(wally-world has some for like 10$ btw) just pat your finger with the color then your eye lid, practice the shape you want and what colors at night before you shower 4) Eyebrows can be done at a nail place for like 10~30$ and if you haven't I'd recomend this for your first time so they can give you a good shape, then get twesers and like mantain 5) you won't get better if you don't practice and that's all I know about makeup yay
