HunnysKitten Posted April 9, 2019 Report Posted April 9, 2019 Hi-hi!! I have been struggling with ideas of what places to visit or things to do that are Little friendly. So far the ZOO is the only thing popping into my head. Maybe I am being bias because I love Zoo's. lol Any suggestions or thoughts? 1

Littlest_Bee Posted April 9, 2019 Report Posted April 9, 2019 Amusement parks with roller coasters and stuff. Some might be more suitable than others but it's not unheard of to have groups of grownups visiting those places. Some even have special events that are geared towards adults. Similar with "Indoor playgrounds". I recently found one that has adult only nights where they serve alcohol. (Lots of people get childish when they drink ) I could imagine that Escape rooms (especially ones with "child friendly" scenarios) would be very fun for me with a trusted group of "little" friends. I've seen one based on the Disney Atlantis movie. (All of their scenarios were based on movies, they also had a Pirates of the Carribbean scenario.) An Aquarium would make for an interesting field trip (similar to the zoo). Museums, a Renaissance Fair, a Wellness center - just a few ideas. I think it mostly depends on individual interests and what kinds of events take place.
LittleTeacup Posted April 9, 2019 Report Posted April 9, 2019 Aside from what Jellybean and Gandi said, which are all awesome ideas: Nature centers Visitor centers in national parks or historical sites Some farms allow tours Mini golfing Carnivals Kid friendly festivals Go berry picking in the woods Botanical gardens/arboretums Roadside America random stuff Ice skating/roller skating Go see a play Fly kites Butterfly houses Antique stores 1
SamL Posted April 10, 2019 Report Posted April 10, 2019 Building a fort in the backyard (or in the house). Shrinking down to ant size and having a safari in the grass. One of those two will require pretending. I forget which one. Anyway, I realize that these don't require going much further than out your door, but I've found that engaged play with my little in the living room creates better memories for both of us than taking her to Disneyland when my head is elsewhere. 1

Disneyland can also appear in the living room if you try hard enough! 2
