Moderators Needed

Hey guys!

 

This community has grown a lot over the past months, and unfortunately it's starting to look like we need more moderators. I thought the best way to find more would be to do an announcement like this, and have people who might be interested apply. Moderating is currently a volunteering role with no pay (currently the site makes no money!) but in the future it may come with small payments.

 

I should remind you that moderating a community like this can be stressful. You may find yourself having to interact with some really creepy people. You also lose all your anti-creep protections, for example any user can private message you on the forum/chat without being your friend. If you are someone that gets easily stressed, then this might not be something for you.

 

Some more information about what we need:

 

• 3 Regular moderators. Regular moderators are the ones you're used to interacting with, and they moderate the chat room and forums. At least 2 of these moderators will need to be active chatters, so you are more likely to get this position if you're in the chat room often.
• 1 Personals moderator. The personals section consumes a lot of moderating time and desperately needs one person dedicated to moderating just this section. This also involves moderating drama that originates from this section, and dealing with creeps. You don't need to be an active chatter for this role, but you should know your way around the personals section. An added bonus is that you'll be the only personals moderator, so you can pick whatever username color you want.

Also, please don't worry about me not responding to your initial PM. The PM is just for you to let me know you're interested and to describe yourself, nothing more. I'd only reply if you have a question about the role or something. We have 15+ applicants so far, and it would be difficult to maintain a conversation through PM with each person.
