Drawing as a little and a good artist

I have feel kind of weird with drawing and trying to get into little space while drawing. I'm a good artist and I can't imagine drawing stick figures like a kid. Actually even when I was a kid I was good. I probably stopped drawing stick figures when I got out of being a toddler. I remember even when I was in elementary school I was drawing like an artist.

If you're a good artist, do you still get into little space when you draw? How does that work? I can get in little space when I'm playing with my stuffies, but I go into artist mode when I'm drawing. I have been drawing way before I even knew I was a little.

Well as someone who draws well(I would like to think I do hehe...), I do agree that's it really hard to get into little space.

However, one thing that has really helped me, is when I am trying to draw the cartoons and animated movie characters!

Especially if it's something 2D and fairly simple to draw, that's what help gets me into little space even when I really wanna draw!

I try to veer away from drawing real people and CGI characters since I will be tempted to put more detail into them!

I hope this helps! ^^

I know where you're coming from. I don't understand purposefully wanting to do a "bad" job either- but some CGs think it's cute, so each to their own of course. And some people find it fun or enjoyable.

Little space in my opinion is where you take the freedom to do childish things and have fun. But as a child I still always wanted to do the best I could possibly do- and that's no different as an adult. So I don't feel the need to put in low effort just to feel "smol". Sometimes I might write cards or letters to my Daddy using my non-dominant hand, because I know he'll like it. But I'm still cringing internally.

I can still be in little space and draw. Though my little space isn't about roleplaying or regressing, it's more like a mindset or mood.

It really doesn't matter overall. It's fine if some things "just aren't for you".

Have you tried drawing with your non-dominant hand? That could help you get into little space, possibly!

I personally am ambidextrous, but I generally prefer my right hand, so I have a lot more experience and wrist flexibility with that. When using my right hand in little space doesn't keep me in little space, even with colouring, I will switch to my left which seems to be just enough to get me

Hehe, I started typing this before I saw Pin's response.

Interesting topic. I wouldn't want to purposefully do a bad job on anything either.

You've gotten a few ideas already but I'd like to add the suggestion of getting a colouring book for little space. Maybe you can be more relaxed if you are just colouring in instead of drawing something from scratch. ^_^

Coloring seems like a good idea and it helps, though I'm not quite as into little space when I color as I am when I play with my stuffies.

As far as drawing with my non-dominant hand, I'm not sure that would work. I can write and take notes with my non-dominant hand (I've done so while sitting in class). I've also drawn with my non-dominant hand, and although in some ways its not as good as the drawings with my dominant hand, I can still do a pretty darn good job with it. And I also found I'm somehow better at shading with my non-dominant hand, so even though some aspects of the drawing don't come out as good, other aspects come out better.
