Pup Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 I want to suck on my paci when I sleep. It doesn't stay in for longer than half an hour. Who has tips for me? I've tried baby paci's and adult paci's.

Guest Naturalselectionissexy Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 And yet nobody is willing to do what is necessary? If anyone is willing to be logical for once you can look at it this way. Problem: thing won't stay in your mouth Solution: make thing stay in your mouth Potential issues: different sleeping positions, force on thing in mouth, drowning in saliva from not being able to drool, asphyxiation from not being able to breath, dental missalignment, TMJ... Pros: keeping thing in mouth Cons: see potential issues Solutions: duct tape, rubber bands, super glue, epoxy, straps, Velcro, clamps, Human slave, house elf, magic, hair elastics, ratchets, cinder blocks, bricks, head brace...
Guest BabygirlSarah1 Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 The general idea and safety for sleeping with a paci is DONT use tape (whatever you do DONT ) nor try to secure it . Its a safety feature that the the pacifier needs to be able to drop out while you are sleep. The danger you face if trying to secure it in any way shape or form during sleep is you might actually suffocate during the night and we defenetly DONT wont this do we ? SO my suggestion is continue to happily have youre pacifier when you go to meet Mr Sandman but also let the pacifier drop out when youre infact are sleeping and when you wake up just put it in again You can easily make a paci band thats attached to the pacier and can be clipped on you're nightie or pajamas so it dont risk getting lost during the night 1
gorebaby Posted February 12, 2019 Report Posted February 12, 2019 Initally, I had the same issue, I bought a paci clip so I wouldn't lose it in bed, but I also found that it helps me sleep. So I use it every night, regardless of what headspace I'm in, and I've noticed with this regular use it has fallen out less and less.
junebug0325 Posted February 12, 2019 Report Posted February 12, 2019 You shouldn’t use a paci when you sleep. It’s not good for your teeth. I would suggest a paci clip so that if it falls out, it won’t get lost. 2
