Sweetbabybug Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 My daddy isn’t a huge animal lover and we already have a dog, but I really really want a hamster how do I convince him to let me get one. I’ve done research and am sure that I can take care of a hamster properly.
PinkiePie84 Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 I love hamsters. I spent more on my hamster than my cat to be honest. A lot of info on hamsters is inadequate so just be wary of that. Please don't use a crittertrail cage! ❤ They need a lot more space than those things give. I'd be happy to give hamster care advice if you have questions.
Guest BohoBaby84 Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 I have a hamster and his name is Mental Billy. He's quite a character and he's so cute and funny. I love him a lot. I think hamsters make great pets but there is more care involved than many people seem to realise. You have to spend time with your hamster every day, handle it and interact with it. How terrible...! I don't know if you can convince your Daddy about getting a hamster. Maybe just tell him how happy it would make you and how you'd find caring for a hamster fulfilling? I got my hamster, Billy, because I felt having a pet to care for would help with my mental health. It absolutely has. Good luck! 1
Angel24 Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 I just got a hamster a week ago! His name is Hamtaro (after the cartoon) and he's adorable but bites, but it is still early so I'm sure we'll work things out. Maybe you could show your Daddy an adorable picture of one, cuz I know the second I saw Hamtaro I was definitely sold on his cuteness:)
babygirlG430 Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 Show him cute pictures, and let him know that you are able to care for it. If he’s worried about your pup getting to it, have a plan to make sure hamster is out of reach of your pup. I want a baby raccoon, I currently have 2 Boston terriers, and I’m certain me asking for a hamster would go over way better. Haha
Misha Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 Maybe he would be open to something like you getting a hamster after good behavior for a certain amount of time.
