Guest DemureBelle Posted October 23, 2019 Report Posted October 23, 2019 It's the half term holidays! No teaching for a week!
LittleTeacup Posted October 28, 2019 Report Posted October 28, 2019 Yesterday I almost got in trouble at work, but then it was established I didn't do it (supervisor thought I had cleaned up an area that was put away extremely messy, but I had cleaned somewhere else), so I was told I was doing a good job instead. Also yesterday it was costume dinner at work and I wore my cute strawberry jam/teapot/teacup print dress, strawberry tights, cute white shoes, strawberry earrings, lace wrist cuffs, and pigtails with pink ribbons. Everyone loved it, although I got asked if I was Strawberry Shortcake, Alice in Wonderland, or Raggedy Ann. AND THEN my housemate said she was going to go to a haunted hayride that evening, and I said I wanted to go too! My other housemates came too, and I didn't change out of my costume so I got to keep wearing it. I brought a blanket though to keep me warm. We had to stand in line for 2 hours because there was only one tractor and only 30ish people could ride at once, but I enjoyed standing with my housemates since we don't get to do stuff together often. And, when I picked up some plastic water bottles people had thrown on the ground, I asked the concessions person if there was recycling and when she took them from me she told me she loved my earrings. And the hayride itself was really cool. A bunch of people in dark clothes or fake blood stained shirts and scary masks jumped out and climbed on the hay cart saying things like "I'm here for your brains". Some of them were amazing gymnasts, hanging upside down into the cart then climbing back out. A lot of people were screaming and freaking out, but I laughed and had a great time. I poked one with a mask on his forehead and he poked me back! Yesterday was an exciting day!
Guest Sweetbottoms Posted October 29, 2019 Report Posted October 29, 2019 I am feeling less ill. I was sick all summer right when I thought I was getting better I got worse and then I got injured because I stretched my arms in the air? not sure how or why that happened but for a good ten days I couldn't move my neck or arm or twist on my right side for 10 days. And then right when that got better my body from head to toe started aching in my bones started hurting and I hurt for a good 48 hours. And today for the first time I have been able to eat a meal and keep it down. So I am happy about my progress, healing process and I'm also feeling less anxiety thanks to using the pacifier big difference it makes. I'm glad that I was Heard by the bus company of school busing I had a real bad experience with this bus driver driving my daughter to school she was disrespectful unprofessional and lied about showing up to her home and always said that I was never there when I was I'm a stay-at-home mom for God's sakelong story short I don't have to deal with her anymore and I am so happy about that. I'm happy because I could work in November as a CNA at an adult day care which I think is better than a nursing home. I have a I just had a few things I was happy about.

Guest ~GlitterUnicorn~ Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 I played at the park today!!!! And that makes me happies
LittleTeacup Posted November 4, 2019 Report Posted November 4, 2019 Yesterday because both me and my roommate had the day off, we went to a craft show together and my roommate's girlfriend came too. I was so happy to finally not be going to a cool event all alone! I also got some awesome stuff, like a big felted pear (I think it's supposed to be decoration but it's already in my bed like a stuffie), a wooden Native American style flute (I'm gonna learn how to play it ), and a tiny crocheted bee. It was also really nice to have the two of them to lean on because I often get overwhelmed at crowded events and can't make decisions about what to buy or not buy. And when we got back to our house and made dinner, we were talking a lot and getting silly and I started playing with my crochet bee. I made it fly and waved my arm around with it. I was really happy. This morning my roommate's alarm went off at 5:30 because it didn't change automatically for daylight saving, and I was able to tell her to go back to sleep for another hour. I decided to bring the bee to work in my pocket so it would be with me all day. And breakfast was so amazing! This weekend instead of a bunch of kids at camp there was a "women's wellness" event so breakfast featured bacon and real potato cubes (instead of tater tots)!!!! I ate sooo much! Actually I wasn't hungry at all by lunch time or even later on. I only had some ice cream for dinner tonight. After lunch the women started leaving and we staff had to clean up. My roommate and I did clean up stuff together, bringing yoga mats back to the right building and checking cabins. This meant I could take the bee out of my pocket and make it fly up the hill! And then near one of the cabins, in a pile of leaves, I found a co-worker's name tag! He had complained about losing it for two weeks. I'm so excited to tell him I found it! So this weekend has been super awesome! A great start to November!
Ebony Fruit Bat Posted January 4, 2020 Report Posted January 4, 2020 I went to the dentist. The start of 2020 is going well. I hate dentist, I was terrified and nervous, but I did it. I am very proud of myself.
LittleTeacup Posted January 11, 2020 Report Posted January 11, 2020 So, this is gonna sound a bit strange I know But yesterday I went to the bank to deposit my birthday money and thought to myself "I'm gonna be a big girl and go through the drive-through instead of parking and going into the bank!". I pulled up, said hello to the employee, and when she stuck the box out I plonked my money down... only for a $50 bill on top to fly away because it was windy. I stared in shock for a couple seconds seeing it blow around, but then the employee said "do you see it?" and I was like "it went around the corner!" I heard another employee shout from inside "I see it's going that way!" and I drove forward into a parking space and didn't even turn the car off. I jumped out and chased after my $50! I managed to catch it near some other car and ran back to the window to give it to the lady, then got back in my car to drive back around. Then she recommended I use the bank app on my phone so I wouldn't have to go out to the bank building anymore. It all worked out fine. I laughed as I was driving away and thought of course something like this would happen to me. But it wasn't self-pity. I was happy to realize I'm at a place in my life where I can laugh at myself for doing something so silly instead of being embarrassed. And I know it must've given some of the employees a laugh too. Maybe they even went home and told their families. I don't mind if everybody knows. And that's what made me happy.
LittleTeacup Posted January 11, 2020 Report Posted January 11, 2020 Hehehe I'm so glad you caught it! You must be fast to have caught it. Kitten like reflexes! Yeah I know! My very first thought as it flew away was "well there it goes" Fortunately it stayed in the parking lot just blowing around instead of going into the road or something. But you should've seen me pounce on it when I caught up to it! It wasn't getting away! 1
Ebony Fruit Bat Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 I got to relax in the tub for 2 hours! I'm super relaxed and noodles now.
Raven2evil Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 I've been watching this youtuber who talks about skin care. I really like watching his videos and learning about how to take better care of my skin. I've even tried some of the products he has recommended and so far i'm in love with most of them. I really enjoy learning new things especially when they help me feel better. Even when I'm really tired I try to do a simple routine and it makes me feel a little better. 1
Little kaiya Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 I gave my mom a dog sledding expedition for Christmas and today was the day. It was so much fun to be able to work with the dogs and drive the sled. The dogs are totally silent when they run, just sheer power and delight in what they do. Plus, I was able to spend time with my mother which, as someone for whom family is really important, was a gift in and of itself. Memories truly are priceless. 2
LittleTeacup Posted March 4, 2020 Report Posted March 4, 2020 The Flower Show I went to today with my mom was SO COOL! It was Mediterranean "riviera" themed this year so lots of citrus like lemon trees and decorations like terra cotta pots and French tiles amongst the flowers! There was lots of art, like Mediterranean scenes made with pressed flowers, miniature gardens, botanical paintings, etc. It's a huge show with all real plants arranged in landscaped segments for visitors to walk around. There was even a little walk-through area about Pompeii and what archaeologists have found was garden arrangements in ancient Rome. I put effort to dress up really pretty with flower jewelry and fancy hat, and lots of people noticed and said they loved it. A few ladies said I was adorable. One very elderly lady was so in love with my hat she wanted me to write down where I got it. She'd never heard of Etsy (where the people I bought it from have a store) but I did my best to write down the directions clearly. I felt good that I got to make so many people smile. In the shopping section, I got some really cute things too! Near the back I heard frog calls, like the ones you hear at night if you live near a pond. A lady was holding a wooden frog and running a stick up the ridges on its back! It was hollowed in a way the vibrations created that froggy sound! I bought a small and medium one, although I also loved the huge display only one. Then I found a Tibetan shop with lots of felted stuff! I wanted so many things, but had to resist somewhat. I ended up with a headband with strawberry flowers on top and little strawberries dangling from the side (it would match with my strawberry earrings I already have), a beehive mobile with tiny bees hanging down (I also loved the hot air balloon mobile), and a string of multicolor morning glory flowers! (all are felted of course) I also liked a multi-hook hanger (like for coats) with jungle animals (lion, hippo, monkey, and I don't remember the others) sitting on top. It was super cute but I couldn't justify it sadly. I think my mom got a little embarrassed by my enthusiasm because she told the shopkeeper "ah, my daughter, almost 30 and still like a child." But he laughed and said it's a good thing to still be like this. My mom got a few more additions for her fairy garden we have outside. A squirrel on a swing in a little tree and a fairy girl with brown hair like me. She also got an iron ladybug, a bamboo plant, a tiny succulent, and three dozen roses in a variety of colors. It was pouring rain when the train dropped us off and we had to run for it. Then I stood underneath a bike vestibule with all the stuff while my mom ran for the parking garage. But even that couldn't dampen (haha) the day! 2
Ebony Fruit Bat Posted March 24, 2020 Report Posted March 24, 2020 I took a 4 hour bath today! Really it was two bafs because I let the water out, filled it up a second time. I got to swim and splash, and roll around in the tub. My skin is super soft and happy. I feel so mellow.
MissPattch Posted March 24, 2020 Report Posted March 24, 2020 I've been trying super hard to lose some extra weight, and today i feel like i can see a difference ^^ 1
LittleRosiePosie Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 Today I got to go for a walk to the mailbox after being stuck inside for a few days due to COVID-19. It was nice to feel the cool air and see that spring is coming, even if I didn't get any mail! 1
