Does This Happen to Anyone Else...?

So..sometimes when Daddy says or does something that upsets me, or anything in general I go silent. We're in a LDR so we're always on Skype.I won't look at him, and I'll stay silent. This can last from minutes, up to hours. The only thing I can do is sometimes make little whines, or noises but other than that talking just frustrates me. It's hard for both of us because he thinks I'm ignoring him, but I just can't help it.

I do not have a daddy just yet, but I have found that I do that with people in general. If they anger me or make me sad I will just stare at the ground, shrug when asked a question, or give very short answers. I hate it but most of the time I don't even realize it's happening.. and obviously it's hard to work on getting over this when you don't know you're doing it :(

Something that may help is to bring up the chat portion of Skype while you're in the call and type out what you're feeling. I feel this helps me get through saying what I need to in order to get through the tough moment. Helps for crying too since most people can't understand cry talk. Good luck!

Oh yeah I've done that! Not looking them in the eye and short sentences. It's partly me being passive aggressive, but also my little self not being sure how to respond to the situation! Sometimes all I want is huggies and for mommy/daddy to kiss the bad hurt feelings all away. It's when they're a real pain in the butt that I'll sort of "jump out" of little mode and speak my mind!

I'm very familiar with freezing over at anything either upsetting or just not expected it can be that I don't know how to respond or I'm worried more about how that person might react when I do. The problem tends to be you don't work through the issue.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has this issue. Thank you Rainbow for suggesting that little tip ^-^
