Sippy Cups

Recommended Posts

I just bought my first sippy cup. The dormant big part of my brain kept calling me a bit of a freak but watching my Daddy's face as we were shopping helped me overcome that fear. I am so overjoyed to have one and just LOVE drinking from it. But when I'm not very far in little space I keep fighting the self-judgement so much over the situation. I'm not sure how well I will handle when my Paci gets shipped here!!!

Any advice

That's so exciting! Congrats!

Tbh I used to feel ridiculous and gross about my wanting/usage of pacifiers and sippy cups. But realistically it's just a drink receptacle (sippy) and reusable gum ;D (paci). And you're an adult. If not to buy the things we really want in life, what is the point of working and being an adult with less restrictions on what we do with our lives? So long as it's not harming anybody, y'know?

Plus how cute they look helps you get over it eventually. lol

I feel the exact same way to be honest literally I daydream all day about my Daddy saying things like "Time to fill up your sippy cup" and then the moment he does these things I cringe internally, just from embarassment. Hopefully I get better at managing my self judgement because I've been hinting that I want a pacifier and I think Daddy is getting me one for Christmas and I REALLY want to enjoy that moment without any self judging embarassment hanging over my head :/

It is really good to know that I'm not alone with the self judgement aspect. I find that I don't mind any of this stuff while I am fully in little space but if I am feeling big at all I find a ton of self-judgement. Maybe that will fade with time. Or maybe it will just be something I will get used to.

I want a sippy cup so bad, but I don't have the money to get one or a place to put it.  So I am waiting.

I really want a sippy cup as well! I've just been putting off ordering it because I live with family and it's really hard to hide that sort of stuff so I've been kinda nervous to. I do have a paci though and can give my experience there! I was a bit off-put and wierded out by my paci as well before I got it when I first ordered it online. But as soon as I had it, it just brought a smile to my face. I can't really explain the feeling except it was a step toward me being able to be open with myself as a little. Now I use it whenever I'm stressed (at home) and it almost instantly calms me down.

Man, I started to sound a bit deep there. Oopsie ^^;

I just started using sippy cups a couple months ago and I either like them or hate them. I think they are really cute and they can help me get really far into littlespace if I use them. But, sometimes they just don’t hold enough liquid and are annoying to use if you aren’t far into little space. So, I’ve come up with a solution. There are bottles from Nuk (they are techniqually “sippy cups”) that look like baby bottles but have handles. These, for me, hold a lot more liquid and are just as cute and as easy to use.

You can also use “kid’s size” (sorry I don’t know how else to explain it) water bottles. They have a bunch of different designs and are really cute. You can normally get them from Walmart for really cheap.

Hope this helps!
