Any Little Wiccan's and/or Witches? Help Please

Recommended Posts

Hello all!!

I wanted to make this topic and ask for a bit of help. I want to really really get into Wicca, spells and casting them, or the whole thing in general. I wanted to post here and see if anyone was apart of that, or would be willing to help me out maybe.

It has always always interested me, however, I have had a hard time getting into it or being able to have spells I cast work.

Is there anyone that can help me out with the proper and/or safe way to get involved with it? I would really really appreciate it ^.^

I'm a witch, but not Wiccan. My best advice is to study, read, study, read, and then do your thing. Remember, witchcraft, is not really what you see in Charmed, American Horror Story, or Sabrina, it's about intent.

Feel free to friend me and ask questions. I don't like discussing my craft in detail in public.

There are tons and tons and tons of books and websites on Wicca. I, however, don't follow Wiccan traditions on account of it being far too recent for my tastes. That being said, I can give you a few very basic understandings of Wicca itself. Always remember the threefold law -- anything you do will come back to you three times. Also, Wicca is a decidedly peaceful religion. So-called "dark magick" and the like is not something Wiccans will typically use. Basically, they won't use their understandings of the earth, spells, and so on and so forth to bring about harm or death -- remember the threefold law is vital to Wiccan practices (it all makes sense in retrospect). Since I myself am not Wiccan, and thus have such a limited understanding of it, that's about all I can give you. You might look into the things Gerald Gardner wrote. His work is the foundation for Wicca after all. Otherwise, take small steps when it comes to doing spells and the like. Do as much research as you can. One last thing I will close with is that Wicca is NOT the same as traditional witchcraft. It incorporates witchcraft, but it is far more dogmatic and religious in presentation and practice. That being said, I will reiterate that you do as much research as possible.

I don't mean any disrespect, but do you think she shouldn't be Wiccan? I mean, we all make our own paths in life. If she wants to pursue a path of Wicca or even witchcraft in and of itself, who are we to dismiss it? Religion, or at least spirituality, can be a great comfort and source of purpose for people.

i wish i could explain, but its really hard to do that. Its such a long story, but after a VERY successful level in magic (i include wicca too, for my own reasons), i decided to stop, and i still pay for it.

its really hard to explain and especially to a place where people who do not believe in these things could possibly read it, the struggles and the aftermath of every kind of magic. Lets say the lines are pretty thin and the consequences seem endless , 13 years later.

I wish there would be someone to tell me TINA STOP.

I've been a witch for most of my life, from a line of witches. Magic, when wielded properly and with respect, is really no different in my opinion than prayer. But to each their own.

I prefer the term poly-agnostic for myself. To me if it sounds like a good idea and it's something I can believe in wholeheartedly then it doesn't matter what the source is. Pagan, Christian, or whatever. At least that's how I roll.

I'm a Lokean witch, meaning I honor and worship Loki and his family as well other members of the Norse pantheon. I go back and forth on Wicca, personally, because while I agree with the concept of karma, the Threefold Law seems illogical.

Feel free to send me a friend request if you'd like recommendations on books or websites.

Not Wicca studying but am a fellow pagan who studies plentiful of God's. I know my way around Wiccan but prefer not to be specified into any particular group of witchcraft.
