Guest ~lele~ Posted November 20, 2018 Report Posted November 20, 2018 Another poem I wrote as tempest. Just wanted these back on here as me. The Staircase She walks along the hall Dark walls of ebony Blinding floors of white Strange to her this place that she does not know No sound she hears but her footsteps and her soft cries No one around to see her No arms to hold her tight Suddenly she sees a staircase Same marble so bright She climbs each curved rise Occasionally peering below To depths all black and white So lost she feels So frightened and in such pain The steps are never-ending AThe scenery all the same Was anyone to find her in this nightmare so insane? The eternal abyss below Unknown are the number of flights above Though soft music she hears now Is there still hope of love? She squares her shoulders though tired Somewhere inside arose the urge to to fight One step and then another, Her resolve finally growing to take back her life. 2
