PrettyLittlePrincessAlison Posted November 9, 2016 Report Posted November 9, 2016 Im sometimes afraid of the dark. I have a Stephen King obsessions so I'm afraid of dark woods, things coming out of my closet, etc. I always have to have the TV on to fall asleep. I also get nocturnal panic attacks but never remember my dreams, which also sucks. It's definitely gotten better with my Daddy cause cuddling with him helps calm me down.... and I do also have my Shadow, who is my service pooch, who helps me with my panic attacks. He also alerts us if someone is trying to break in (it's happened) and will clear the house room by room for me when we come home.
Daddy's_Babygirl Posted November 9, 2016 Report Posted November 9, 2016 I'm afraid of the dark... though I like to tell people this isn't the case I'm just afraid of what's in it. I've always been afraid of the dark, though I have to have lights off when I sleep, so I try to make sure Daddy is with me when I do.
annlei Posted November 9, 2016 Report Posted November 9, 2016 I'm afraid of it so I keep a string of fairy lights at my bed. Uh.. but Daddy kinda is too. It's cute c:
Guest thequeenslittle Posted November 9, 2016 Report Posted November 9, 2016 i have always been horribly terrified of the dark and it causes me o have nightmared and i cant sleep cuz im so terrifired but cuddling close with mommy always makes it so so much better!!
Guest Wholockprincess23 Posted November 12, 2016 Report Posted November 12, 2016 I've always had this issue since I can remember. Sadly, I don't ever see it going away. I've learned to live with a nightlight at all times and to have a calming movie on TV when I head to bed. I also, luckily, don't often sleep in a room by myself. My best friend, who takes care of me because of some disabilities, sleeps in the living room with me (which has become my bedroom because I can't make it upstairs). It's horrible to feel like I have to rush around the house because I'm afraid of the dark, but I've figured it's something I'll just have to deal with.
Guest DaddysLilBabygirl Posted November 16, 2016 Report Posted November 16, 2016 So glad to know I'm not the only one who is still afraid of the dark! Although I sleep better when it is completely dark, I have a hard time falling asleep without a nightlight in a nearby room. Gives off just enough light that I can tell when there's no "monsters" in the room.
sammyxoxo Posted November 19, 2016 Report Posted November 19, 2016 I am! It's more because I have past trauma that causes me to have really bad nightmares at night though. I have a small lamp on the nightstand next to my bed and I also have a couple nightlights. I want to buy some of those stick-on, glow-in-the-dark stars for my ceiling too.
iJoeyMonster Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 I'm afraid of the dark, especially when my imagination runs wild or after I've watched something scary.
Guest Peachypie Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 I hate the dark unless I'm with my caregiver or a friend, however I can't sleep with the light on either because it keeps me awake :c, I recently got a unicorn light night though for when daddy works and I find it's the perfect amount of light c: I also have lots of those glow in the dark stars on my walls
