Guest Bunnyblossom Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 I have a carousel horse music box I found in a free box, it needs an actual music box and I want to paint it to look like a night mare. You can find music box mechanisms on Ebay or maybe wish.com if you’re looking. I just youtube the song it plays if it’s one I haven’t heard.
PyriteHearts Posted November 10, 2018 Report Posted November 10, 2018 I found one on Amazon that I like for a decent price. It will be the theme for Castle in the Sky. 1

PyriteHearts Posted November 11, 2018 Report Posted November 11, 2018 (edited) Yes. I'll chronicle my progress once I have the pieces and paints ready. This is the before as I found it, one of the legs is broken and badly glued back on but I have an idea to stabilize it. Edited November 12, 2018 by PyriteHearts 1
Daddybears PLB Posted December 2, 2018 Report Posted December 2, 2018 Hello everyone ☺ Just saw this tutorial for making a cute colouring pencil holder that anyone can make... I'm forever muddling through a pencil case looking for the colour i want so when i get time I'll definitely be making this one!! Might be after christmas though cos i work alot at this time of year I'll post a pic when i get around to it https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq0fmYmnRs5/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=1hqfe3xk4isu9 4
PyriteHearts Posted December 5, 2018 Report Posted December 5, 2018 I finally finished my painting and now have to collect materials for the bottom but I'm happy with the result. Some sort of egyptian/ghost/royalty sort of thing. Regardless I promised to show my results and I just love to paint statues. This is the before: This is the after: 1
Guest Bunnyblossom Posted December 10, 2018 Report Posted December 10, 2018 It is a christmas one and i am pretty happy how it came out!! It’s so sparkly and bootiful D:
Guest Bunnyblossom Posted December 13, 2018 Report Posted December 13, 2018 NSFWI finished making the stickers for our punishment wheel tonight. I couldn’t find my sticker paper anywhere, so I had to create them from scratch using:•Double sided sticky sheets•Clear adhesive book cover stuff•Markers and paperHe bought the wheel off ebay. 1

little green dragon Posted December 17, 2018 Report Posted December 17, 2018 This is the after: i was so sad to hear you were gonna paint over the original when i first saw this but the dark version is so good i take it all back!!! love the teal and red to compliment the new inky coat! 1
Firematrix Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 Agreed the new altered version looks way better than the original. If you plan on handling it alot don't forget to give it a clear coat to prevent the paint from rubbing off.
Daddybears PLB Posted January 10, 2019 Report Posted January 10, 2019 (edited) I've just finished upcycling 2 Lampshades. They went from a light brown colour to a white and grey with white cotton string and a grey leaf ribbon. It was such good fun and only cost €5!! I always have trouble uploading photos... so i can't put up a before and after pic unfortunately... which is kinda the whole point... now i feel like there was no point to this post without pics..ha!! It was time consuming but so simple and saved me alot of money.... and it was fun most importantly of all ☺ Edit: so i got the photo up on imgur...best i can do cos can't seem to upload pictures to the forum... here's the link https://imgur.com/a/PLoGCxW Edited January 11, 2019 by Daddybears PLB 1
Firematrix Posted January 13, 2019 Report Posted January 13, 2019 What was the original design for the one on the right. Something about a lamp shade with many holes in it just seems kinda counter productive to it's own purpose. I'm assuming there was ribbon running through them?

Something about a lamp shade with many holes in it just seems kinda counter productive to it's own purpose. I'm assuming there was ribbon running through them? The brown one on the right was the original one and the holes are part of the design of the shade, not counter productive at all because they in fact let light shine through what would otherwise be a lampshade that would not let enough light out and the room would be too dark.
Firematrix Posted January 13, 2019 Report Posted January 13, 2019 But doesn't it create a lot of miniature spotlights with the holes? I've never had one, that's why I'm asking

Lollipox Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Gonna try making things out of sculpey for the first time. Hoping not to burn it, our oven is temperamental.
Daddybears PLB Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Gonna try making things out of sculpey for the first time. Hoping not to burn it, our oven is temperamental. Can i ask what sculpey is? I've never heard of this before ☺ i hope it worked out for you! I'm always like that when making stuff.
Daddybears PLB Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Hihi It’s a semi-popular sculpting clay. You can make all sorts of things out of it. Admittedly I am using a knockoff one though. hehe Thanks for filling me in!! ☺ looks like a cool idea for some diy projects....I'll have to look into getting some to try out! Lovin the variety of colours you can get! 2
