Little? Middle? Little Age? Huh?????

Sorry, guys, apparently I'm more clueless than I thought!

So, would anyone mind either explaining some of the differences or providing materials for discovering what exactly the difference is between little ages and being a little/middle and so on and so forth? Because I thought I was a little, and I think I still am, but there's just so many different labels floating around that I'm trying to make heads or tails of what my identity is.

Thanks for all your help!

There are a few threads on the forum about this topic. Some people have a little age, which usually says something about them as a little. Like what they might enjoy doing, how they act, etc. Littles are generally younger and middles are older. Really it comes down to what you feel comfortable with. Not everyone has a little age or wants/needs specific labels!

Okay! I'll have to look at some of the other threads and see what's floating around--thanks!!

Just try to be who you are. Uniqe.

Thanks, Little! That's actually really helpful to hear, makes me feel like I don't have to fit into the mold ^^

There is no "mold". Every little is as unique as a snowflake. And every relationship will be different. One DD may want and do some things that another doesn't. What's important is that you are comfortable with yourself and who you're with.

Thats right. Dont let them put you in the mold and comparates you with others, cause you are special. Edited by SmartAssLittle

A member of Staff is currently updating and improving the list for the Resource section of the forum re: Types of Littles. They’re doing a great job with it, hopefully that will help you and others like you trying to find some definitions and figure out what blend they are.

But as the above said ^ you don’t need to fit a mould. That said though- I’ve never actually seen anyone say people have to? Only posts fighting an invisible force that apparently says they have to do things a certain way.

I call myself a little to generalize but I am technically a middle. My little age is probably 12, I don't fluctuate much and I don't have a "little space" it's just my personality 24/7 although sometimes I may sound a bit more mature or more playful due mood or whatever.

I didn't like to use the little age or the middle term but they do help people in the DDlg world to get a better idea of who I am. Is not a necessity but it's helpful.

It's important you learn the meaning of labels so you know what people are talking about lol, but yeah there is no rule of what you have to be, just a few optional descriptive labels floating out there :3

My little age is 3 - 9, like... it depends on my mood? But you don't have to categorise yourself into a certain age range. Some littles, like myself, find it easier to put an age on it so we understand things more clearly. It's different for everyone though.

You'll figure it all out, don't worry ^.^

Cool! Yeah, I'm thinking my little space ranges from 7-10, but I'm thinking it might be on the younger side of it--7 always was my lucky number!
