The cars and swinging cables;

The stars that wink like angels;

The whispered wind is blown;

I walk alone.

The gutters and the corners;

The muttered marching forward;

Away from where I'm home;

I walk alone.

The shadows of the alley;

The gradual, the gravelly;

The steps that shift the stone;

I walk alone.

It seems like I'm familiar

With the streetlights. I'm bewildered

By my need to always roam.

I walk alone.

I like the poem

Makes me think of a introvert that's used to being alone and is roaming around for something or someone to take the place of being alone

Beautiful poem. I can relate deeply. I like to put on my fluffy dress, do a pretty hair style and walk around town. I will ride the bus jus to get out and do something. And I walk alone. ❤
