ThePoet Posted September 29, 2018 Report Posted September 29, 2018 The cars and swinging cables; The stars that wink like angels; The whispered wind is blown; I walk alone. The gutters and the corners; The muttered marching forward; Away from where I'm home; I walk alone. The shadows of the alley; The gradual, the gravelly; The steps that shift the stone; I walk alone. It seems like I'm familiar With the streetlights. I'm bewildered By my need to always roam. I walk alone. 1
ladybug°rain Posted October 16, 2018 Report Posted October 16, 2018 I like the poem Makes me think of a introvert that's used to being alone and is roaming around for something or someone to take the place of being alone
PrincessLolianne Posted December 25, 2018 Report Posted December 25, 2018 Beautiful poem. I can relate deeply. I like to put on my fluffy dress, do a pretty hair style and walk around town. I will ride the bus jus to get out and do something. And I walk alone. ❤
