Hair dye obsession

Anyone else here obsessed with dying their hair? So far I’ve been brown, blonde, orange, red, hot pink, pastel pink, silver, blue, peach, black and I’m currently faded red “but I just bought bleach and I’m planning on going platinum blonde again” I just can’t help itttttt I get bored so fast, as soon as one color fades I need a new one in asap. I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding next month though so I can’t be a crazy color for a whole month! I’m gonna dieeeee

Anywho anyone else like me and obsessed with color?

yes!

i've been dying my hair fire-engine red for years now.

my hair is actually my hair dressers baby, basically -- she's been transitioning me from deep, dark brown to hair that looks like it's on fire with oranges & reds for about two years now.

i go every two months or so for a touch-up.

my best friend & The Giant's other partner, Mauve, has dyed her hair more colors than i can count.

i definitely understand the obsession!

just make sure you're doing healthy hair treatments in between colors so you can keep that hair from being eaten up by the bleach, if you use it!

Same here! But I've been keeping pastel pink for a few years, and have no plans to change it anytime soon. I don't switch up colors often though because I'm a bit obsessed with my hair and don't want to damage it, plus there's just too much of it to be constantly changing it lol but I get so sad when my hair isn't a cute color.

I used to dye my hair all kinds of colours in high school and undergrad. My go-to was dark blue but I’ve also had silver, red, lavender, aqua, green, and blond!

I’d love to go back to blue but lately I’ve stopped doing too much to my hair because I’m not a fan of the upkeep. My hair is short so that’s a plus, but it’s naturally black so I have to bleach the living daylights out of it if I want to do anything, and then the black roots come to say hello within like 2 weeks :p

Right now I’ve got chestnut brown going on, and it’s the first time I’ve dyed my hair in two years!

After I get my keratin treatment to smooth everything out, I want to get one of those mermaid styles. :3

I've never dyed my hair and have no plans to anytime soon, but I love seeing people who have! I'm obsessed with those reveal videos on IG. It looks so pretty, but I just don't have the confidence to do it or the money to maintain it sadly.

I went through a red phase. My favorite was a purple-pink. I'd like to do that one again, but the salon is so expensive and I have too much hair to do it myself.

I have been dying my hair since I was in elementary school, and currently have it pink (dyed purple but it fades quickly), and I'm debating which color to go next! I'm naturally a dark brown and have thus far been black, dark (almost black) blue, red, and now pink...

Tho since we're on about it, does anyone on here have some advice on hair health? ^-^".. The tips of my hair always seem dry and poofy  (no split ends), while the roots easily get greasy so I have to wash it often and my colors wash off..

Sorry if this invades your post AngelLove, I'll edit it if needed))

Ah yes, combination hair.  Being a biracial (Central Asian / White) dude who likes to wear his hair longish, I know it well.

So.  First of all, although this seems counterintuitive - don't shampoo every day, ESPECIALLY not with one of those shampoos that says "formulated for greasy hair!"  More frequent washing, especially with a shampoo that is very drying (the ones for 'oily scalp' or 'greasy hair' are very harsh!) will actually make your scalp produce more oil.  Use dry shampoo every other day instead, or if you must wash, with a very gentle shampoo.  Although skipping those wash days may be painful at first, it will help over time.

Also, you may need to adjust your conditioning routine - condition from ends to roots and not the other way around! (On the other hand, when you shampoo, don't pile all your hair on top of your head and lather up.  Shampoo from roots to ends, use the lather from the top of your head on the ends of your hair!) You likely don't even need to put any conditioner at the roots of your hair at all, just from roots to mid-length might be enough to keep your hair looking sleek and not dry! Also, don't leave the conditioner on forever.  Just 2 minutes is enough!

Yes but it was ruining my hair .-. I haven't properly dyed my hair for 3 years :( I miss it because purdy colours. Now I just top up my roots.

I usually go for blues and purples and greens but I've had my hair full rainbow before. It went from purple in the front to red in the back.

Last year I also got my hair done half red and half black. I got called Harley for a little while after that.
