Anyone else who loves snakes?

I just wanted to see if there are any other littles or caregivers who love snakies or have/had a snake. Feel free to post pictures of them, what their names are and what type of snake they are. I've had a few snakes, as well as worked with snakes!   Feel free to also send pics of other reptilians or amphibians, or just name your favourites

They are my favourite animals, and I wanted to see who else loves them too!

 

This is Calypso, she is a Jungle Jaguar Carpet Python. She was tiny when I got her. Daddy bought her for me as a birthday present! She has a neurological disorder which is connected to the Jaguar gene. She was such a sweetheart when I got her!

 

This is Forest (no I didn't name him ironically from Forest Gump).  He was my first snake, and Daddy and I agreed we loved him from when we saw him and needed him!

 

This is my Big Boy, that's just what I used to call him, he's a Red Tailed Boa. He was in the pet store I worked at. I was in charge of the reptile section, and one day on my day off, I popped inside to see how all the snakies are when one of my co-workers had this big snake by the head, and I had never seen it before. He asks me if I can please hold the snake as he needed to go to the back quickly, but said that the snake ad bitten him 2 or 3 times already and that i needed to hold the head. I told him I refused, because I wanted the snake to trust me, so he gave it to me after much arguing and when he let go, guess who cuddled me! I wish I could have had him but he was too big. He had never allowed anyone else to handl him, he had bitten other co-workers and customers (after being warned), even opening his enclosure, e would just hiss. But he never ever even hissed at me. I hold that to my heart forever.  

 

Unfortunately, I had to move so I had to find new homes for all my snakies, but I still love them!

Hello! 

 

I actually have 4 royal pythons, and I love them! I have a hetpied, two mojaves, and one blue eyed leusistic! My snakies are my life, and I would do anything for them <3 Theyre my babies :3 

 

My daddy cant hold one of them because he strikes for him (which is bad) But hes still the best thing that ever happened to us! They all are :3

 

Our leusistic is 2-2.1/2 years old (our oldest) Out hetpied is 1-1.1/2, and our two mojaves are almost but not quite a year! me and my daddy both agreed that we needed them from the off go (we traveled to go collect them from a friend) <3 Id love to hear more about your snakies!!

I love blue lucies!! They are so beautiful!! I can completely understand too! My snakies are always my everything!

 

My favourite snakie is Red Tail Boas, not just for their size but they really get an attachment to a person! Me and Daddy had our own Red Tail for a little - her name was Nova. She took to Daddy unbelievably and she became more his snake. I've noticed they bond better with one person, so me and Daddy really both want one each so we can properly bond with them... and to avoid jealousy

 

In total I've owned 3 royal pythons - a normal, a fire spider and an orange ghost-, 2 carpet pythons, 1 red tail, and 2 sand boas (we got them with Calypso because the breeder kept them in unfavourable conditions, so we found better homes for them).

 

Also, have you tried the balling technique with the nippy one? It helps bring down aggression and striking. I've been bitten by a lot of different snakes, and it's just what happens when busy getting used to each other

I love em to pieces. When I was younger I owned a few and I have not had the opportunity to get another yet. I had a student who would bring them in to the college I taught at and I was reminded how entrancing and beautiful they are.

I used to bring my snakes to school and to the shops all the time, people kind of freaked out But I always defended my snakies!

I love snakes SO much that I have my tongue split like them haha. 

 

I currently don't have any, because I'm going through a huge transitional thing with moving house and such like, however.. Yeah. At height, I had a rep room with god knows how many. I kept Retics, Royal/balls and Hognose for breeding projects, but I had carpets, an Amazon tree boa, KSBs, a False water cobra, a Green Anaconda, GTPs.. Loads of different things really. This was my absolute favourite among them all though, My baby Chondro called Stitch. <3

All animals, but anything with scales has a mystique that is just too hard to ignore. No snakies currently and sadly. I do have bearded dragons as "shop pets" at my office though.
