For any of you out there that like lunchables, but want a cheaper more creative alternative, I’ve got you! Take thick slice turkey, ham, salami, bologna, or any other type of meat you like and use tiny cookie cutters to make them into fun shapes! Do the same with a semi-soft or hard cheese of your choice, and stack between butter crackers or alternative tiny toppers. You can have as much fun with these as you like, and even add healthy bits like cucumber, pickles, lettuce, etc. have fun making your own cutesy lunchables everyone!

This is a really good idea, and I'm absolutely sending this to my Daddy.

So I just found a recipe that I'm gonna make with my kids this weekend this weekend I will send a picture after we make it. It is one layer brownie mix, a layer of Rolos, a layer of brownie mix, a layer of caramel syrup, and then another layer of brownie mix then bake. I will let you know how it goes 😌

That sounds like a gooey, probably messy, amazing death by chocolate experience. I'd die happy though.

Just saw this and thought it looked like a fun thing for littles. The recipe is vegetarian, but I know it can be altered to include lunch meat or to be vegan with a little tweaking of the recipe to suit your desires. If you like meat you could try adding turkey, ham, salami, or whatever you like. I'm not vegan but I assume there are vegan alternatives for the cream cheese, mayo, and grated cheese. The site also seems to have other veggie based recipes if you want to check it out.

This set of recipes I found on Instagram. You can use any non-dairy milk of your choice if you are vegan/plant based. The honey can also be switched for maple syrup or a sugar free substitute. Enjoy!

I have a yummy recipe that is sweet and low carb.. but Daddy might need to help if you're too little to use the stove.

CHIA SEED  VAINILLA PUDDING W RASPBERRY SAUCE

2 cups of almond milk

1 tablespoon of vainilla

Pinch of salt

Add monk fruit sweetener or erythritol to taste

1-1/2 cups of chia seeds (you can adjust this to make the pudding thinner or add to make it thicker) mix it all and put in fridge to cool and for chia to expand and set.

RASPBERRY SAUCE

take a pint of raspberries and place in a pan with 1/4 cup water, sugar substitute as above, about 5 tablespoons and simmer till raspberries break down into a sauce. Personally I add a teaspoon of powder ginger too.

Let sauce cool.

Then you layer the pudding and sauce in a cute cup and add whipped cream and sprinkles. Voila!

It sounds harder than it really is. I can whip this up in 20 minutes. Great reward treat for a good little.

Blessings and blessings

Wow! We've gotten such a great response to this already!

I am excited to announce that the Theme of the Month is: Picnic Foods!

The season is upon us to pack up our baskets and head out to the sun, nomming on delicious snacks and sandwiches that we can bring with us outside. Share your favorite, outdoor-friendly recipe this month!!!

I'll start it off with these /delicious/ popsicles:

Berry Pops

Makes 10 pops

16 oz Non fat plain Greek Yogurt
3 Tablespoons of honey
1 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
4 oz Blueberries
4 oz Raspberries

Mix the Greek yogurt, honey & vanilla extract until well blended.

Add half of the mixture to the ice pop molds. Add a few whole berries in each mold and push to the bottom of the mold with a toothpick. Freeze the pops for about 15 minutes just to harden them up a bit.

Meanwhile, in a blender puree the remaining of the Greek yogurt and the berries. Add the mix to the ice pop molds and freeze at least 3 – 4 hours. Enjoy!

That sounds really yummy!!! I don't have ice pop molds...I may use my ice cube tray to make tiny bites without using whole berries

Lemon brownies I found that are soooooooooo amazing and very easy to do. And I do NOT bake normally haha.

INGREDIENTS
15.25 ounces yellow cake mix, I used Betty Crocker
3/4 ounces lemon instant pudding mix
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon lemon zest (i have found this is not needed I just put a smidge more lemon juice)

Glaze:
cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice, more if needed for desired consistency

INSTRUCTIONS

For the Brownies

  • Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, and also use non-stick cooking spray so that the brownies lift out easily.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Using an electric hand mixer, combine the dry cake mix, dry pudding mix, lemon juice, eggs, and lemon zest together in a medium sized mixing bowl.
  • Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and use a spatula to spread evenly.
  • Bake for 22-24 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with only moist crumbs (no wet batter).
  • Remove lemon brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Holding both sides of parchment paper, lift the brownies up out of the pan and allow them to cool completely. Meanwhile, make the glaze.

Panda Party Spicy Rice Balls

The spice is completely optional! Butttt….. These are sooo easy to make! They’re one of my favorite things to pack for lunch 💞

Supplies/Ingredients Needed:

• Bear rice baller mold

• plastic wrap

• (optional: only if you wanna make ‘em pandas) panda face nori cutter

• sticky rice

• kewpie mayonnaise

• gochujang (for spice- leave out if you don’t want spice)

• protein of your choice :3 (for my recipe I use little cubes of spam lol, chicken is also super yummy)

• soy sauce

• garlic

• nori (seaweed paper)

• peanut oil, depending on your protein choice

• plastic gloves

• tweezers (I used the ones I use for my bracelet making lol)

How to Make Them!:

1.) cook your sticky rice ahead of time and give it plenty of time to cool all the way down, cold sticky rice is easier to mold

2.) take the protein of your choice and cut it into small cubes. If you need a size comparison, take your empty rice baller and make sure your squares can fit neatly in the mold.

3.) mince your garlic and begin heating a pan on the stove, if you didn’t use spam as a protein then pour in a bit of peanut oil to prevent your garlic from sticking, if you did use spam don’t worry about the sticking, spam is an oily protein so it’ll lubricate the pan on its own once it begins cooking. If you used another type of protein put it in the pan now, if you used spam then add it later

4.) just before your garlic begins browning, deglaze the pan with soy sauce and gochujang. Mix evenly and then add spam. Let your spam get crispy then remove from the heat to cool.

5.) once all your ingredients have cooled it’s time to set up for balling them! Make sure you have containers for storage in the fridge set aside just to make preparation a little easier. Take plastic wrap and line the inside of your rice baller

6.) mix kewpie mayonnaise and gochujang together in a bowl

7.) this is usually where I put my gloves on, ngl, the gloves are optional it just makes handling the rice much easier. Cover your dominant hand in a thin layer of the kewpie mayonnaise mixture and scoop out a small amount of rice, then press it firmly into your plastic wrapped mold, making sure to fill the mold less than halfway.

8.) take your cooled protein and press it into the center of your rice ball then scoop out more rice to fill the rest of the mold

9.) making sure your plastic wrap doesn’t get pressed into your mold, carefully but firmly press the lid of your rice baller mold into the top until it seals closed.

10.) pull the lid off and the back of the mold and your plastic wrap to carefully free your panda rice ball! If you’ve pressed it together tight enough and cooled everything off properly they should stay well formed and come out fairly easily

11.) repeat these steps until your rice and protein is all gone! :3 if you made too much rice, I highly recommend looking up sticky rice recipes to use your leftovers with ❣️ coconut sticky rice is a personal favorite of mine to use my leftover rice with.

12.) if you don’t have a nori cutter then try your hand at cutting the nori with scissors! Even small strips are better than none :3 but if you doooo….. use your nori cutter to cut out all the shapes you need them carefully place them on your rice balls with the tweezers. Once it’s in a position you like gently press it into place with your finger or the tweezers.

13.) enjoy! ~ 💞

Little Space friendly Mini Pancakes 🥞 💞

What you’ll need:

1) Pancake mix, your favorite one, your own recipe, whichever you prefer 🙂

2) Large SOLID METAL (this is v important, plastic isn’t safe to make these with) cookie cutters, in any shape you want!

3) Cooking oil of your choice!

4) add ins for your pancake mix, whichever you like best, for these pancakes I stirred in a bit of vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon, with my dino cakes I made plain batter but coated the cooked pancake in cinnamon sugar 😋

How to make:

1) Make your pancake mix and add in your spices, or choco chips or blueberries or whatever you’re adding to it

2) Grease your pan with cooking oil and heat it up

3) Throughly grease your metal cookie cutter, making sure to get all of the crevices

4) Place your metal cutter, sharp side down, onto your hot pan

5) Carefully pour your pancake mix into your cutter molds making sure to only fill them about half way full so the mix has room to rise and cook evenly

6) Heat until bubbles rise, once it’s time to flip, use your utensil to carefully demold your pancake, flipping it to the side left to cook

7) Plate and enjoy! They’re small cakes so honestly super ideal finger food if you wanna eat them that way 😋💞

Homemade Straw-bby Milkies 🍓🍼

What you’ll need: fresh strawberries, milk, sugar (granulated sugar is just fine, it just takes more patience to stir) and a sauté pan or a nonstick pan would be fine

How to make it:

1) dice or chop your fresh strawberries, I prefer a fine dice, they release juice and sweetness better that way

2) heat your nonstick pan to medium heat

3) put your fresh diced strawberries in the heated in pan, turn the heat up to med-high heat and begin to add sugar. Sugar to taste but add enough to make it into a syrup, be sure to stir constantly and throughly to avoid sugar lumps

4) let your strawberries fully soften with the lid on your pan, stirring occasionally, it takes about 15-20 min in my experience, though it depends on your stove as well.

5) once a nice strawberry syrup mixture is made, turn off stove heat

6) pour cool milk into a cup and add your fresh strawberry syrup to taste, note that it won’t be as dark pink as artificial syrup because there isn’t any artificial colors or flavors, so taste as you add syrup

7) stir throughly and serve! The little chunks of super sweet strawberry are a plus imo but definitely make sure to give a spoon out with it to make sure they can keep the yummy strawberries well mixed with the sweet milk.

8.) enjoy! Serve to your sweet little or even yourself. A yummy alternative to man-made strawberry milkies without all the preservatives or artificial colors!  💞 great for Dom/mes looking for a yummy treat for their littles

My favorite is Ant Logs!  The recipe is here but below is the text:

Ingredients

  • 6 ribs celery
  • 6 tablespoon peanut butter, softened
  • ¼ cup raisins, organic

Instructions:

Rinse your celery very well. Chop off any browning or dried ends. You can keep or discard any leaves, but the best ribs will the the thick and sturdy ones with deep centers for the peanut butter. Dry your celery very well - this helps the peanut butter stick.

Chop your celery ribs into two pieces each - usually 5-6 inches in length.

Spread peanut butter down center - avoiding the edges of the celery to keep things clean.

Top with raisins. Tip: If your raisins are a bit dry or hard, you can microwave them for a few seconds or soak them in warm water for a minute to plump up. Dry well before adding to peanut butter.

Serve! Or cover and chill in the fridge until ready to serve. You can make this snack up to a day ahead of time for best flavor and freshness.

Peanut Butter Allergy? Sun butter, almond butter, cashew butter and more are all perfectly great subs.

Raisins - Sweet, chewy, dried grapes. I always buy organic for my recipes. If you don't have raisins, chopped Medjool dates or other dried fruit varieties work too!

Celery - Go for organic. And buy a full stalk that you can chop yourself - as opposed to a 'short-cut chef variety.' You want to look for plump, dark green ribs - no cuts or dry spots is best.

Out of Celery? Try carrot sticks, romaine lettuce leaves, collard leaves, sliced apples or even sliced green bell pepper.
