Where is a paci supposed to rest in your mouth?

I looked over about 5 pages so I apologize if this had been asked before, but where is an adult paci supposed to lay in the mouth? Is it supposed to be on the hard palette or the soft palatte in the mouth? I just recently got an adult paci and I'm finding uncomfortable to say the least. Its resting on my hard pallate and its been a bit awkward to suck. Unless I'm sucking like super hard, and I know that can shift teeth over time. I might be finding it a bit short for me because I like sucking my thumb. I dont know, any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

I don't personally use a paci so I can't say much, but... they'd have to be pretty long to be resting against your soft palate lol.

 

If you're used to sucking your thumb it might just feel weird because it's a different/new feeling. It might just take some time to get used to

Hard palate ^.^ You might need to try using different NUK sizes. I use a size 5/6 because it makes me feel small but I use a smaller one to sleep with as it's more comfortable.
