Just got a new job and I want to move up in position.

I'm pretty young and I was curious if any on the forum had some advice about how to move up in a company, specifically Walmart. I worked there 6 months ago and loved my job but I got fired for missing when the roads where bad. It sucked because every support manager at my store had nothing but good words to say about me because I proved myself through my work. So besides working hard what tips do any of you have?

No idea about Walmart etc, but generally speaking: ask your manager how you can move up. They should be able to tell you how the process goes there, what the requirements are and so on. 6 months is short time but it is of course good to show enthuasiasm and be willing to understand how things work there, so you can focus on right things.
