Post-School realisation that your teachers are people too.

After high school I've been realising that my old teachers are more down to earth and real than I thought. For example I found one of my old teachers on Fetlife which fills me with such a satisfying feeling because it reminds me that even people with normal lives are kinky too and it fills me with a weird amount of hope.

When I taught college courses, it was an odd feeling seeing students in local bars. That's definitely not the same feeling, but recently at my local, I've run into a few of my old  high school teachers. (And I've been out of high school a long time.) For me, it's a refreshing feeling to share a few beers with your old instructors.

I grew up in a very small rural town, so my teachers were my neighbours and some of them were my parents' best friends. I always knew they had a normal life outside of school because they were at my house for coffee and stuff ><

See I was raised in one of the most heavily populated schools in the area and there was so much conflict, student teacher rebellion, fighting and overall chaos. It's just a nice feeling that everyone has lives outside of what you can observe on a daily basis.
