Guest Looby-Lou Posted May 19, 2018 Report Posted May 19, 2018 Okay, so adult me isn't interested in the Royal Wedding today (Meghan Markle & Prince Harry). BUT, little me senses a great opportunity to get dressed up in Princess gear, gather all my teddies in front of the telly, stuff my face with sweeties, and be a princess for the day. If I had a Daddy I would ask him to help me cut out a crown shape that I could decorate with all my best colouring and nicest stickers and glitter and sparkly things, so he could be the King (even better than the Prince LOL) And I would wear my pink & white "Daddy's Princess" dress, with a sparkly tiara and lots of jewellery and glittery make up. Then I would sit on his lap and watch the procession with all the horses and marching bands, and fill my tummy with sweeties. (By this time Daddy would probably be bored and have fallen asleep so he wouldn't know I'd eaten too many sweeties. Little Girl logic wins the day ha ha!) As it is, being on my own, I might not get all dressed up. But I already have my glittery PINK nail polish on, the teddies are ready, and I just need to sort out some of my favourite foods to munch on. Anyone else interested in having fun today? Getting dressed up? Or even just giving our opinions on what Meghan wears - will it be a proper Princess dress or will she go for high fashion. I reckon she'll combine the two and be a high-fashion Princess. Hoping some other Littles will join me and have fun with this today
Guest Dulci Posted May 19, 2018 Report Posted May 19, 2018 Adult me if half interested - I adore the Royal family... but I can't stand her. Regarding dress (which I am interested in) I think she'll go modern/high fashion but it'll be timeless - Look at Kates for example. I'm not doing anything regarding it, honestly just a normal day for me - but I will catch up/watch bits when I'm home later. But I do hope you have fun! <3
curlybaby Posted May 19, 2018 Report Posted May 19, 2018 She'll never look as beautiful as Princess Diana did on her wedding day *sighhhh* I know it's all kind of a load of political nonsense but OH to be a princess * looks out of window longingly* I hope she goes FULL PRINCESS. Big poofy dress + tiara. When else do you ever get that opportunity????
Guest Looby-Lou Posted May 19, 2018 Report Posted May 19, 2018 (edited) Why can't you stand her? I think she's "ok", she's made something for herself, and she's a strong role model (she seems to truly care about other people/circumstances). And if Harry is happy, then I'm happy for him. But I have mixed feelings because I find it hard to think of her as Royal. The Royal family have become far too ordinary IMO - I feel the same way about Kate, I like her, she's great for her role, but she's ordinary not aristocratic. YES! I hope she wears a big pouffy princess dress! But I don't think she will. I'm also having an ordinary day, but keep peeking at the telly to see what's happening. Just seen George & Amal Clooney arriving, and Posh & Becks. Amal looks like she thinks she's a bigger star than George (meow, the claws are out LOL). And Posh predictably looks miserable, weird clothes and Becks looks like he doesn't want to be with her. Sad, they used to be so happy and I really liked them. Today she looks like she has 4 arms!!! (Her dress has long sleeves but her arms stick out the sleeve half way down, so when she is waving it's like there are extra arms waving around, very odd.) Update: just seen her, on her way to Windsor. Squeeeeeeeal!!! She was wearing a full veil (10/10 points from me), shoulders covered (10/10), hair completely up (5/10 from me, I soooo hoped she'd have a 1/2 up 1/2 down style to let her long hair show). I am now so so disappointed. The dress is BORING. BORING. BORING. The veil is very pretty though. Edited May 19, 2018 by Looby-Lou
Lola Step Posted May 19, 2018 Report Posted May 19, 2018 Been watching it for the past 3 hours now and I'm in loveeeee with the whole thing!!! She looks soooo beautiful, i love that she looks so natural, it almost makes me love my own boring brown eyes and freckles because they both look stunning on her!! As for the dress i though it was gorgeous, you have to remember that she is a divorcee, following Kate (the future queen) and many people have already accused her of being too hollywood so I feel like she wantef to go with something elegant, understated and timeless and i think she nailed it, the veil was GORGEOUS and sorry I'm rambling but ahhhh.. :D

The problem for me is that I am not understated. I am sequins, embellishments, sparkly and bling! (Good thing it wasn't me marrying Prince Harry LOL)
Guest Jedi Princess Posted May 19, 2018 Report Posted May 19, 2018 I agree. She probably had to follow royal protocol. But I would have bedazzled the shit out of that dress lol.

Guest BabyPeach Posted May 19, 2018 Report Posted May 19, 2018 Eeps, what a good idea! A princess partyyyyyy! I would have taken an interest in the wedding then! Otherwise, no, hehe. I'm surprised the dress looks almost ill-fitting because it is couture. I'm definitely not impressed with this dress, they could have done better. It is very dowdy and boring while she is very beautiful with a gorgeous figure. Simple doesn't have to mean a dress that looks like a basic shift dress with longer sleeves. Shorten the length and die it peach/seafoam green/pink and you have an ugly bridesmaid, or mother of the bride, dress. The bride, though, looked elegant and beautiful (hair, makeup and veil).
