Guest DaddysCubbie Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 Okie so this weekend (LDR) me and Daddy are trying out something new: he wants to be the one feeding me when we eat together. He would like to make this a regular occurrence and I am definitely not opposed as most of the time we are together I am in little space. We are just not 100% sure which food to start with and I suggested Baby food.... Has anybody here tried Baby Food? Do you like it? Does it taste good? Any flavors/brands that are better than others? I wanted to start out with something easy and not as messy but I'm not sure if it is strange that I want to try Baby Food. If anybody could offer any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. If this question has already been asked I do apologize.
neko Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 (edited) stay far far far FAR away from any baby food with meats in them! theyre super yucky! the fruit ones are basically just smoothies in jars Edited May 3, 2018 by neko
Tinka Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 all i know is that the jars with baby food taste almost horrible (from what i see in youtube videos ) One might like this, or that but most of them hate the salty ones with food. They tend to like better the fruity ones. But still you don`t see them get excited. I remember tho, from my sister that there was a baby food that would come in a powder form, and you would put some warm water in it, stir it and it would turn into this awesome smelling fruity cream. So from baby foods i would suggest that! If you hate fruity things , you can try to make a creamy soup (veloute) from ingredients that you would like If you dont add a lot of water or let the ingredients absorb most of the water, it will be more like baby food
Hopeisreal Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 I liked the fruity baby foods. Snack wise I liked the puffs. Also I did like gerber graduate meals.
Zacky Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 I actually like most baby food. It's cheap enough you can get a bunch and try stuff til you figure out what you really like.Of course, I don't get to choose anymore - babies don't have that privilege. XD 1
Daddybears PLB Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 I love the taste of liga and farley rusk biscuits ☺ i have sometimes poured a small bit of warm milk on them to soften them up like a porridge. Yum!!
Guest Arc Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 You could always make your own apple (or other fruit) puree. It's really easy and doesn't have all the additives that packaged baby food has. I've never tried baby food but I love hot apple puree with cinnamon on top of vanilla ice cream 1
Guest KhaleesiKettle Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 Generally anything banana...if you like that fruit that is.
Winter's Child Posted May 3, 2018 Report Posted May 3, 2018 Banana is amazing (in my opinion)! If you like fruit, maybe try strawberries or apples. Puffs are so so good, if you want a smaller snack.
Guest PrincessMim Posted May 4, 2018 Report Posted May 4, 2018 Never had salty ones ( must be yucky :x) but fruit ones and baby cereal that you add hot water are yumMMm!!!! (i had ones with honey flakes can't remember brand but there's a baby on the box xd )
LittleKitten13 Posted May 4, 2018 Report Posted May 4, 2018 Maybe if you want to try something similar to baby food, but are apprehensive about baby food, try applesauce. I've never tried baby food, but I love applesauce. 1
Angel24 Posted May 4, 2018 Report Posted May 4, 2018 I usually get the pouches of baby food with the screw-on cap. Banana has definitely been my favourite so far, but most fruity ones are good too! Apple sauce is always a good choice too:p
Lil' Miss Dolly Posted May 4, 2018 Report Posted May 4, 2018 fruit is nummy, custard is too! I also like sweet potatoes but the meat or other veggies stuff is gods awful!
Guest DaddysCubbie Posted May 7, 2018 Report Posted May 7, 2018 **UPDATE** So this past weekend I was with Daddy and we went to Target and I found a NON-GMO organic baby food that was Strawberry Banana which is two of my favorite fruits. I am pleased to say that I really enjoyed the taste and texture. I was nervous because I don't particularly like mushy things lol Daddy was so happy to br feeding me and we both really enjoyed that moment between us. It felt so special and it brought us closer and Daddy really enjoys that I am more dependent on him. He also used my Minnie Mouse spoon for the first time Daddy said this will be a regular occurrence from now on but only he will pick the flavor. This weekend he is coming up to Toronto to visit and we are going to go to the grocery store to stock up on a few different flavors. I am super excited. I wanted to a give big THANK YOU to everyone who commented I appreciate your time and your kind words. 1
Chicki Posted May 10, 2018 Report Posted May 10, 2018 Pear, banana, and apple are fine. They're literally applesauce but different flavors lol. I agree, dinner flavors are gross af.
CrazyLittleBuggaBoo Posted May 12, 2018 Report Posted May 12, 2018 (edited) That's super awesome and exciting! Good to hear you enjoyed yourself! I love baby food, it's super yummy! My favorite brand it Gerber but that might be because I grew up with it XD lol Some meat flavors aren't that bad, but it's pretty rare and hard to find them. And it's a real gamble to try the different meat flavors cause they mostly are horrible! I'd suggest also trying the Toddler Snacks and Meals too! They are really fun and enjoyable as well It also gives you more variety in foods and textures. *edit* And also, I forgot to say, you can make your own baby food at home too. If you have a blender. You can find baby food recipes online, and you can even start making your own mixing your favorite fruits and veggies together. I don't have a blender, so I haven't done this. But this is something I'd really like to try. It's suppose to be cheaper and healthier than buying stocks of baby food as well. Edited May 12, 2018 by CrazyLittleBuggaBoo
