How much ya bench?

Ok, seems there are a few of us gym rats here, so I thought I'd start a thread where we can share.

Also, provide (friendly, and most importantly free) advice, tips, etc... to anyone looking to improve their health with diet and/or exercise.

Stand by for a bunch of grunting, bro science, and remember to never curl in the squat rack. :))

Its funny you posted this, in the last 6-8 months ive been increasing my bench (and im gonna get some hate for this but hear me out) ive been using the smith machine for benching, but ive used the pyramid press setup to bring myself from 185 one max rep - 375 one max rep.. of course using the smith made my deltoids significantly weaker, but my chest has never been so powerful and firm.

Hey....whatever works for you.

Personally, I never use machines, but that's me. We're all different to an extent, and that's how I want this thread to roll. We all come in, share what we do, and create a conversation about it.

No hate here, period.

I last benched 240, but Ive been board presses for 10 weeks, wk1 board press max was 255, as of last week its 280. So Im hoping it transfers over. My bench is poor relatively speaking, Im 185lb and squat 425, dead 405. Need to get that bench number up.

My bench for reps is 225. Absolutely my weakest lift, as I am not really a fan of it. I prefer military press, as it's a full body lift. Really don't believe in isolated lifts.

At 175lbs and 6'1",for reps:

Bench: 225

Military Press: 315

Deadlift: 505

Squat: 475

I'm currently bouncing between 12-15% BF.

Diet is heavy fats and protein. Low, low carbs. Going to stuff my face with some carbs over the next month though as I'm headed overseas and will drop weight.

For cardio, I open water swim. Promised myself that the day I left the military I'd never run unless for my life ever again.

I actually compete so I have to worry about bench, though Im not a big fan of the lift. Those are some good numbers though, especially being tall I know taller guys have a hard time squatting typically. Im only 5'7" XD

I usually do prowler or trail running for cardio. Weather permitting.

I hover around 14% BF. I go high carb, Im vegan so it comes with the territory. Works for me though, BF is at a comfy place for being a powerlifter and I steadily grow stronger as I always have. Im usually not a diet-NAZI, everyones body is unique and responds to diets differently. Nor am I zealous about my veganism, its my ethical decision alone.

I need to do military press more often, Im just terrible with chest/shoulders.

I mean i understand the common view on it, but when im lifting alone it gives me peace of mind that i can go as heavy and hard as i can without a spotter. On freeweights im popping around 275 one max rep but im still very wobbley when i dont work more into my delts.

Hi! so um I can bench 75lbs (sadly arms isn't my strength)

I can deadlift 135lbs

and I can squat 250

I am a 5'5 168 pound girl and I go to the gym regularly (5 out of 7 days a week) however my main focus is to maintain my weight so I'm not deadlifting everyday. I was curious however and push myself often but as of a week ago thats what I could do. I mostly just do high intensity training on the treadmill everyday for 40-50 minutes and then I do regular weights for each muscle group sometimes every single one or just simple leg or abs day! My diet consists of high protein, low carb, low fruit, and as much veggies as I wanttttttt!  :D  :D  :D
