Guest RoyG Posted April 18, 2018 Report Posted April 18, 2018 == Results from bdsmtest.org == 100% confident that this test is to more easily communicate overarching BDSM preferences 90% sure the exact percentage isn't important 80% happiness from taking these tests anyway, because tests are fun 70% certainty that the test doesn't accurately reflect someone 60% of my time was spent doing the test was wondering about the test methods 50% chance I spend too much time thinking about these things 40% of the people stopped reading at this point 30% of all BDSM tags apparently apply to me 20% is more like what I expected, like, why roper when I couldn't tie my shoe laces for the longest time 10% of the time I'm too excited for my own good and write posts like this. 0% chance all of these percentages are meaningless

Guest SenpaiPleaseNoticeMe Posted May 31, 2018 Report Posted May 31, 2018 Honestly? I don't truly trust those results. It is WAY too easy to tailor it to what you want people to think: "I am an totally alpha dominant who wants a Total Power Exchange and my little must NEVER know... I am a bi switch who subs to males. Sooooooo how about I answer all the questions to reflect the former and not the latter" These test results ae super easy to manipulate. While I was doing it I was thinking "eh, nah, I don't want people to know of my 2-3 specific kinks, so I will leave it out" and because of this, I never took any stock when other people do it. I don't think it is a reflection on who we are, but rather who we want everyone to see... Yeah, I agree with this. I was having a conversation about the test and it's easily manipulated to show people only what you want them to see. It can be a bit deceitful to alter the results if the intention is to advertise something false. On the other hand who knows you better than yourself? There is no shame in altering it to provide a better picture. Overall, it serves as a good guide to those new and don't know where they are in the categories.
