Just wondering what anyone's thoughts are on the categories of the test results; I've never had a name to put to what I am until now, so it seems sort of new to me, but then again, it isn't really...  I gotta admit, it really describes me well.

There are a couple eg monogamist that are most definitely wrong in that I am completely into monogamy.

Not much variation with mine, except I don't have sadist tendencies (master, degrader, sadist are 60-75%, their opposite traits still 0-2%) and I'm 35% non-monogamist (probably because I'm one on one in relationships but indulge in some guy's hotwife from time to time). 

 

So we have in common the daddy traits with no little traits.

Honestly? I don't truly trust those results. It is WAY too easy to tailor it to what you want people to think:

 

"I am an totally alpha dominant who wants a Total Power Exchange and my little must NEVER know... I am a bi switch who subs to males. Sooooooo how about I answer all the questions to reflect the former and not the latter"

 

These test results ae super easy to manipulate. While I was doing it I was thinking "eh, nah, I don't want people to know of my 2-3 specific kinks, so I will leave it out" and because of this, I never took any stock when other people do it.

 

I don't think it is a reflection on who we are, but rather who we want everyone to see...

I would never think to consider someone doing that.

When I took the test, I answered the questions without considering I could tailor the results to what I wanted to see.

Eep..........this thing called me 97% brat.  I read through LittleSaphiophile's post and answered honestly.  No slant.  As you can see, I'm rather tame.  I'm not sure why it called me a brat.  I mean I can be, but I don't see how those questions indicate a percentage of brat. lol.  I do think it should read 97% Princess though.

In this regard, you are absolutely right the BDSM results can really help. I thought the post was geared towards "what do other people think of the results."

 

I had the same experience the very first time I took the test, and that was on Fetlife. It was where I saw I was a "pet" - lemme go look.

 

So my results said I was 94% Pet and I had never explored that side. I chalked it up to the results being bullshit and left it at that.

 

Enter DDlg Forum - after being comfortable here, I realized... wow... I AM a pet. And being a puppy is a MASSIVE part of who I am.

 

So I completely see what you are saying, the results can be super helpful when analyzing yourself. Absolutely. I still have my reservations when reading the results of other people though.

I've seen this before and, because I'm a nerd, I messed around with the test a while back to see how it calculated the scores. I don't really remember specifics, but I do know the brat score and brat tamer score tend to be artificially high no matter how much you try to manipulate them. Which is why girls I've met who were legitimate slave types would still get scores around 50-60%. Those aren't that high, but considering their nature and the fact that you can get 0% in most other categories, it seems the questions regarding brattiness aren't quite optimized. I never put too much stock in tests like that anyways, outside of a general starting point if you have no clue about bdsm, so if you aren't bratty then I wouldn't worry haha. Your day to day behavior determines those things, not random internet tests.

Mine as well.  I suppose I wouldn't struggle too much against the idea of being at 5%, since I do consider threesomes to be non-monogamous, and I might be convinced into having one if my little really wanted to experiment with one.  Maybe.  Otherwise I wouldn't be interested, and wouldn't bother bringing them up to my little, let alone a flat out poly lifestyle.

Yeah, often the headings miss the mark. The more I looked into the Primal Hunter thing, the more I realized it wasn't me. Playful hunting, more like hide-and-seek maybe, but not the rest.

 

I do wonder how many other headings they could/will add, though.
