Guest vegan freebird Posted April 3, 2018 Report Posted April 3, 2018 (edited) Any little or middles with a hippie-ish personality here ? Looking for new open-minded friends to shoot the breeze with Not that I'm not happy to talk with any nice & genuine person.. But I'm quite unconventional and have a lot alternative interests & attitude...hahaha Peace, Love & Unity Edited April 3, 2018 by vegan freebird 3
Littlest_Bee Posted April 3, 2018 Report Posted April 3, 2018 I guess it depends on what you would see as "hippie-ish". I'm vegan as well and I definitely sympathise with a lot of what the hippie movement stood for and continues to stand for. But I don't think anyone would know that just by looking at me.
Guest vegan freebird Posted April 3, 2018 Report Posted April 3, 2018 Hi Gandi Bee Another vegan Probably no one would guess my hippie-ish ways from my appearance either.. hahaha I'd love to talk to you about things in general.. Would it be alright if I sent you a friend request ?
LittleKitten13 Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 I'm not sure if I would be qualified as one or not. I've been called a flower child before. 1
cutelittlevixey Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 i don't "look like a hippie" but i am all about using natural products, loving nature, and embracing "new age" concepts
Guest vegan freebird Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 I think people can have a 'hippie' heart without looking a certain stereotypical way. I love nature, natural ways & products; and just being open to a higher consciousness in my life. People are quick to mock.. But Peace, Love & Unity is the only way forward for us human-beings xox i don't "look like a hippie" but i am all about using natural products, loving nature, and embracing "new age" concepts 1
Guest vegan freebird Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 Flower children are beautiful xox I'm not sure if I would be qualified as one or not. I've been called a flower child before. 1
Guest Little Otter Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 Do you mean LG's? I'm a little vegan. And kinda hippie-ish cuz I'm a pacifist and I LOVE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIMES. <3 1
Guest vegan freebird Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 Hello Curious Otter. I'm happy being friends with any kind of gender or sexuality. I would love to find a genuine, sweet-hearted, hippiesque, littlegirl or middle for myself to daddy.. But I have no idea if that will ever happen here (!!??) But yes.. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Do you mean LG's? I'm a little vegan. And kinda hippie-ish cuz I'm a pacifist and I LOVE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIMES. <3
Guest vegan freebird Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 @vegan freebird i like your description of having a hippie heart. my style is generally not very hippi, but it is what is inside that matters! And that conciousness and ability to connect IS inside all of us! I absolutely agree. What's inside your heart and mind, imo, is the essence of who and what we are. I'm not 100% sure that everyone has the ability to connect with others though.. Some people eg sociopaths seem to possess no such awareness or desire to truly connect. Maybe they've lost the ability, or something else has impaired it ? I really don't know. I'd love to hear your thoughts about it I know it makes me very sad, that as the dominant species of life on this planet, Humanity is so divided and destructive. On a much smaller scale.. something like 'ghosting' that goes on a lot in this community, is very disheartening. I wish people who do things like that, would realise that people online are real people with real feelings. Hurting other people is never cool. LOVE LOVE LOVE 2

LOVE LOVE LOVE i do believe that the electrical charge in the brain of, say, a sociopath is misfiring, and that it basically creates a block against having that connection with another person. i would think that a sociopath could still access some of the higher realms of conciousness, just missing the piece where we are all connected, perhaps? Or maybe a psychedelic experience like DMT would help break through some of the mental issues? i don't know! It is an interesting idea but i am nowhere near educated enough on the subject to give more than an idea. It is truly sad how many of us (non-sociopaths included) have grown so disconnected from the energy of the earth and of humanity as a whole. We could guess that the chemical nature of the food and water supply is contributing to the disconnect, and the constant flow of technology (TV, internet, radio, etc) bombarding the senses would contribute to a bizarre alternate version of the human experience for most of us. i both adore and dislike where technology has brought us. i strongly abhorr what has happened to the food, water, and medicine supply in the western world, however.

I just have to reply because this touches on something that I'm very interested in. As far as I know, sociopathy is mostly characterized by a lack of empathy, combined with a strong desire to be better than others. They're both stable traits that can't necessarily be learned or hallucinated out of, as it seems to be caused by a fundamental difference in brain structure. As much as we have morals and coded behaviour, none of us consciously think about all the little things we do in social interaction. It's incredibly complex, and our brain is fine-tuned to notice any incongruence to an insane degree. It's why the "uncanny valley" effect is so strong. Understanding the idea behind empathy allows them to copy some of the base behaviour, but eventually they won't be able to keep up, and people notice. While it is possible as a result from actual brain damage, others unfortunately never had a chance to experience any real level of empathy to begin with. When it comes to technology, it's without a doubt a blessing when applied correctly. Not only can we always stay in touch to those dear to us wherever we go, we can also far more easily plan/attend social events. It's what brings us together in places like this. Free education for everyone was a distant dream until the internet, with places like Khanacademy showing us just how much potential we have. The problem is the mechanics that make us tick are completely unprepared for something as addictive as our technology. It takes much time and a strong will to consciously limit technology to a point where you use it for your own gain, rather than it turning into it using you. Finally, I want to add that while humanity may sometimes seem divided and destructive, these are at this point in our history mostly unresolved psychological problems that we are currently working on. Working together towards a brighter future has always been the better option, but conflicting ideologies and scarcity have often forced people into conflict. With this unparalleled level of connectivity, and even ability to help each other succeed as countries, the gains of working together have never been clearer. There will always be power games between the strong to test and strengthen each other, but more and more I find them to be friendly battles rather than bitter wars. And if you ever start doubting this, just look around you. The university I'm at consists of students all supporting each other, working towards the goal of graduating. Everyone is happy to help and spends time together, regardless of origin. This is true for most in-groups. The problem was out-groups, but thanks to technology, everyone's social network is now entirely different, and there is no true out-group anymore. Everyone is a "friend of a friend (of a friend)". We're entering a golden age - be sure to enjoy it! Edited April 18, 2018 by RoyG 1

Guest Posted November 13, 2018 Report Posted November 13, 2018 Oh! I was about to make a post for littles that are hippees, its good I ran into this one. I see a lot of you are vegans, I should mention I'm not vegan. I try to stick as close as I can to a plant based diet. Still I'm happy to see so many of us here!
SamL Posted November 13, 2018 Report Posted November 13, 2018 i would think that a sociopath could still access some of the higher realms of conciousness, just missing the piece where we are all connected, perhaps? In my experience, the two are mutually exclusive.
