chibi.lune Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 i just moved out of my parents' house and i basically have a blank white room to start working with it. i can't change the colour of the walls, but i can hang things up. i have a white "swirly" metal bed frame to work with so far. where would you/do you go for decor inspiration, littles?
BabyGirlDumb Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 Personally: I would get maybe... a white bed cover, because it works with every theme. lots of pink cushions/themed cushion. I love cushions shaped as animals. c': STUFFFFFFFIESSSSS!! I bought THESE super cute butterflies and stuck on my wall.(These loads of others on ebay you can buy) BEAN BAGS ARE FUN. and toys other than stuffies. I have lots of cat and bird figures on my shelves. more stuffies. (I love stones and alternate medicines and meditation so I have all my pretty stones out on display) Fairy lights I also have one of those bed things that are like curtains that hang from the roof and cover you, (idk what they're called) That's just my room. For inspiration, I just go to shops and look around, ebay and etsy etc, even just searching "girls bedroom" into google gives great inspiration!
Guest Scottishdaddy Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 I've been trying to create a room, and fairy lights sound like a great idea! I want to put my little sweetie dispenser in there too, with lots of different colour candy balls, but don't know if that's too much of a temptation for a little... I love the Gorjuss series of artwork and have a framed print of one of those, and I have these pink heart shaped post it notes that I've stuck up all over the wall. It's a bit low tech, but it's cheap and brightens up blank walls.
The Perennial Princess Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 As a lover of all things Victorian and the 1940's/1950's, I really long for an elegant bedroom and vanity where I can get ready every morning. I am currently obsessed with the idea of obtaining a nice vintage dresser, mirror/brush set, ballerina box, and some old perfume bottles to set atop said dresser alongside all my makeup and other dainties. That's at the forefront of my bedroom ambitions currently. This photo on tumblr is pretty much spot on in regards to what I want: http://i60.tinypic.com/24azmh5.jpg My dresser was always a focal point of my bedroom and currently I do not possess one and hang everything in a closet. I am eager for the papa bear and I to find our housie so we can move in and I can personalize some baby space. 2
Guest Rainbow Posted July 8, 2015 Report Posted July 8, 2015 i agree with a string of lights! you can even find them at dollar stores sometimes. the curtain draping the bed is called a canopy! and i'd love to have one if i had a full out little room. prints that you like- you can find little girl themed ones at Michael's crafts or online for sure. often you can find those little wood shelves that have hearts cut out that have ledges for your little figures or hooks to hang cute things from. just browsing shops or online you'll stumble upon stuff. i have my coloring books and crayons in display shelves so they have easy access and i like to look at them cuz they make me happy good luck! ooh also wall decals! they peel off easy and can instantly give a focal point to a white wall! 1
Nia Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 If we are talking pure fantasy, then I love multi level rooms. you see them more in living rooms than bedrooms. I would want my bed on a raised platform and then either in the middle or corner of the room have an area that is recessed down. That way I can fill it with pillows of all shapes and sizes since I like to waller and nest for some odd reason, or change it out to those plastic balls and have an instant ball pit! I have some other ideas but those are the big ones. I love blanket and pillow forts and having space for my stuffies which I don't really have right now. My current room could have some of those features added, but I would love to eventually own a house and just have a play room. Ball pit or bounce house type set up would be mandatory! 2
