Salems lot Posted March 18, 2018 Report Posted March 18, 2018 (edited) She unlocked her door and walked into her home, giving a sigh as she notice her furniture was rearranged again. The demon sitting on the coffee table gave a slight chuckle. She walked past him. Although she couldn't see or hear him, she knew he was there. Or at least that something was there. She walked over to the book shelf and search for her most recent read. Unable to find it she let out another sigh. "Alright, whoever or whatever you are, where's my book?" She asked. He walked over to the couch and slightly lift it by the corner and let it drop, indicating where the book was. She walked to the couch and found it in between the cusions, and remember she had fallen asleep reading there the night before. He cracked a smile noticing her face light up at the sight of the book. Sometimes he wished he could let himself be seen but between the horns, the tattered wings, the death like blue skin, and his inhumanly black and red eyes. He doubted her reaction would be nothing less than terror, so he decided to remained unseen. He wasn't like a lot of other demons, who preferred to terrorize the humans. He was more for harmless mischief, moving objects and making the occasional noise or two. She got frustrated at times sure, but she didn't mind his presence. In fact at times when she was stressed should would speak her problems to him and he would let her know he was listening. He even did small things such as clean up messes while she wasn't around when he knew she was feeling down. Lately however, she was stressed more than usual. She spoke about unrelenting calls and messages from a mysterious person, each normally more threatening than the last. As she read her book, he wandered around outside of her home, keeping a sharp eye out for anyone might want to harm her. "A demon genuinely caring for a human, who could have guessed?" He asked ironically, as he perched on the steps leading to the front door. He looked over towards the front door, noticing what looked to be a note or envelope poking out from under the welcome mat. He moved the mat, revealing it was indeed a envelope. He opened it and began reading, what he read described terrible things. Things worse than he had ever done before, and he was a demon. A thought crossed his mind , as he weighed his options. He shook it off and glanced around, beginning to scratch a symbol over the doorway. He walked back into the house, and checked on her, and noticed she had fallen asleep. He plucked the book from her hand and sat it on the table, as he covered her with a blanket. As she slept, he would continue keeping watch and scratching symbols around the house. By the time she woke up he had eyes on every entrance to the house, in a manner of speaking. When she woke up there was a hot cup of coffee waiting for her. She took a few sips and slipped off to get ready for work. As she did so he curled up in the corner with a book, eventually nodding off just as she did. Waking up for a split second as she walked out the front door, his symbols proven to be working. He nodded off again for a short while. While she was at work she received several more threatening messages, with increasingly worse threatening text messages and voicemails. She left work earlier than usual and headed home. Chills running down her back the entire time, she felt as if she was being watched. As she stepping inside her home and close the door. Sliding down against the door; she'd scream, feeling utterly defeated. Wanting nothing more than to be free of this person terrorizing her. A wave of soothing warmth would spread over her as the demon enveloped her in a comforting embrace. He held her until she calmed down, and then went back to patrolling the grounds again. He half wanted this stalker to make an attempt on her life, that way he could end his . **CHAPTER II Written by Little Illy** Still dazed by the shift in emotions, she couldn't help but lean her head back. She was terrified, yes, but also... comforted. A small smile tugged on the corner of her lips. No matter what would happen, she would be able to handle it. The smile faded. Would she be able to handle it? The demon paused in his patrol, his tattered wings stretched to their full and massive size, as he felt the turmoil waft up from the front of the house. The world took on a brackish tint and the demon had to take a moment. When he saw the vibrant world once again, he lowered slowly to the ground. Something had to be done with this constant terror. He feared what would happen if this human was harmed. He didn't know what that would mean for himself. How it would... change him. With a quick shake, he gained composure once more. He stalked the grounds in an attempt to let the hatred and violence roll off his scaled back. But little could be gained other than his primal need to rend and split... wait... no. The demon skidded to stop and stood dumbfounded. His eyes turned a glassy stare onto the lit windows of the woman's house. Rend? Split? He wasn't one of those demons. He never craved blood, or devoured prey. No... he was not like the rest. But then why did he feel the sudden urge? In a blink of the eye, he was back inside the house. Now standing alone and in her closet, the demon glared at the woman. He wanted to be angry with her, to be upset that his new, distasteful, feelings started with her. His glare dropped to a sheepish gaze. He couldn't blame her, if anything this made her even more of a victim. His anger and seething hatred began to melt away at the mere smell of her clothes, her jewelry, her hair, just her... He was so relieved by her presence that it took him just a moment to realize that she wasn't happy. Blinking himself back to her reality, the demon studied her closely. She was huddled over but not sobbing or crying. Her frame was stiff, but she wasn't swaying in fatigue. The demon glided into the shadow to get a better look. And what he saw hurt more than he understood. The woman was clutching a red shirt. No, no. She was clutching the red shirt. She wasn't crying because no tears could salvage what was lost. His eyes glittered in the dark as she began singing soundlessly. He knew the song, he even heard it form her lips once. It was beautiful. Yet now, it was the saddest thing he had ever seen. The woman slowly folded and gracefully laid on the closet floor, her face turned into the red fabric. And in that one beautifully tormented move shot him out of her house. The demon flung himself into the sky once more. He hovered at the furthest distance he was able, just a mere few yards above her tallest tree, and scanned her home. No one should be forced to this horror and no one should ever be allowed to torment someone so admirable. No. He didn't care what it would take, what other sentence he may receive... he swore right then and there, he would find the bastard who was hurting the woman. He would find him, and he would destroy him in the only way fit. Demonically. Edited May 29, 2018 by Demon/Ghoul 2

Little Illy Posted March 28, 2018 Report Posted March 28, 2018 The demon sounds like Stitch - mischievous lil fellow but good at heart. It honestly reminds me of this protective story (SFW - https://www.theodysseyonline.com/the-monster-under-the-bed?utm_expid=.53hHQ_sIS_GVYl9TPM4psw.0&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F ). Seriously though, this is really good. You should be very proud, please keep up with it! Very well done, I look forward to seeing future installments!
