It sounds to me like he does like it, but just isn't in the mood until later in the evening. Maybe he has grown up stuff to do during the day and doesn't feel like a CG until later in the evening when he can give you his full attention? He obviously sounds like he cares about you a lot, and doesn't want to hurt you. I wouldn't read too much into it if I were you. 

If you think he doesn't like being a CG, maybe ask him if he does or not, don't just speculate about it, yaknow? Good luck!

Sometimes when we're upset we don't think about things logically, and it can help to have things pointed out  

 

My Daddy has times when he can't be my Daddy, like when he's working or doing paperwork or other adult things. He would rather be a Daddy when he can give me his full attention, rather than giving it a half hearted attempt whenever he can spare a moment during work breaks. Which I actually really appreciate because I know I would personally have his full attention at a specific time than part of his attention all the time. 

 

Just find a way to keep yourself busy and entertained during the day. Do things for him so when you do get time with him at night you can tell him all about what you have done and show him anything you've made etc
