Guest Arc Posted March 2, 2018 Report Posted March 2, 2018 I have this one book called "Hello, Biscuit!" When I was a kid my grandfather gave me the book and it came with a toy dog named biscuit. It was my favourite toy and favourite book for so long. I lost the toy a long time ago (I suspect my parents threw it out because it was falling apart from how much I loved it ), but I still keep the book on my book case. It makes me feel small and happy when I read it. Mostly because it reminds me of my grandfather and the toy I loved so much as a kid. This is it https://pictures.abebooks.com/isbn/9780694014446-us.jpg I also still have all my books from The Little Mermaid that my parents bought me. I was obsessed with those movies as a kid and they're still my favourite so I had to keep all my books 1
Petitchat Posted March 2, 2018 Report Posted March 2, 2018 I kept my favourite books from when I was a child; I have a plenty of disney books and my old nursery rhymes book. I love looking at them and they make me feel happy. (and my boyfriend sometimes pick them for my bedtime story )
Guest Looby-Lou Posted March 2, 2018 Report Posted March 2, 2018 Maybe just relax, let your mind wander back to happy times in your childhood. You will remember some of the things you enjoyed when you were younger - books, movies, toys, games, foods, bubble baths, clothes, etc. - then you can introduce some of them into your life again now. Chances are some of them will help you feel "all happy and bubbly". Have fun experimenting!
LittleKitten13 Posted March 6, 2018 Report Posted March 6, 2018 I like "Goodnight Moon" and alllllll my stuffies! Some of my stuffies I've had since I was really little, but some are newer.
LittleKitten13 Posted March 7, 2018 Report Posted March 7, 2018 luckily, i used to work for a children’s literacy program so i was able to smuggle quite a lot of picture books into the house without much suspicion i really like eloise and madeline! but my favorite thing ever is this app called “epic! books” — it’s free for limited use, but you can pay $5 a month for unlimited access. there’s an audiobook section, and you can have loads of picture books (or even chapter books) read to you! it’s like a bedtime story Eek! Thank you so much! 1
RavenclawPrincess Posted March 17, 2018 Report Posted March 17, 2018 YouTube has TONS of picture books being read aloud. I like that best because it auto plays the next video and that's a nice way to 1. Not have to read to yourself and 2. Find books maybe you forgot about and find new books you like too! 1
DreamALittleDream Posted March 18, 2018 Report Posted March 18, 2018 Ooohhh oh my goodness yes❣ my favorite books to read are any dr.suess book at all hihi, I've always gotten instantly small even thinking of them, and it's one of my biggest dreams to have my caregiver read them to me
Angel24 Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 I have a book of Disney fairies and one of Disney bedtime stories that are read to me sometimes before bed, although to be fair, any kids book that's read to me makes me feel little
Heaven's Lost Property Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 A good book for me is actually Winnie the Pooh books and lots of stuff make me feel little
RavenclawPrincess Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 The Stinky Cheese Man and Good Night Darth Vader are a couple of my favorite books. Good Night Darth Vader puts me to sleep EVERY time.
lawran Posted August 31, 2020 Report Posted August 31, 2020 I know you most likely mean "child-like" when you say "little," but I do find that reading Astronomy--even basic stuff--makes me feel little. Meaning I feel like a speck, but not in any unpleasant way. It's like that zoom out shot we see in films where the shot begins in an apartment and just moves farther and farther away into the sky, eventually giving us a long-distance shot of the solar system. Currently reading Frankoi, Morrison, and Wolff's Astronomy (1st Ed), if anyone's interested. I've also been watching "The Lulu Show" and "Mike, Lu, and Og." Both shows take me back to when I was a 7-yr-old watching cartoons in the summer
