deyabear Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 Sooooo my Daddy has told me that i've been getting on the chunky side lately, (too many sweets ) and I know it isn't something that bothers him, but i'd like to get back into a smaller little shape for him. So I thought that with the help of you guys we could come up with some little things to do that also count as exercise!! So far I have: Hoola-Hooping (My favorite ) Jumping Rope Monkey Bars Climbing RockWall Does anybody else have any ideas? I'd appreciate it so much! 1
TwilightSparklez Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 Trampolining can help drain the lymphatic system and improve circulation, so bonuses. Bike riding. Swimming. Frisbee in a park or on the beach,
CallMeDaddyLG Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 Jumping on the bed. Building blankee forts, and starting a pillow fight club. What happens at pillow fight stays at pillow fight. 2
MsLittlesRoom Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 I don't know if fasting is something you would consider but I recently started intermittent fasting and started seeing results pretty quick and it was much easier than I thought it would be as to certain degree I was already eating similar to the fasts requirements. So the idea is that you eat for a certain amount of time in the day and then dont eat for another. I chose the classic16/8 split where I dont eat for 16hours and eat for 8. I know I know, that sounds insane. But realistically im sleeping for most of those 16 hours. So I start eating at 1pm and start my day with eggs as they take longer to digest so you stay fuller longer,I get some exercise in (sometimes before or after breakfast depending on when I wake up) do some chores, drink 3-5 bottles of water(throughout the whole day)and cook dinner(I do snack and other things within the day but my base schedule is as stated) stop eating at 9p till 1pm the next day. I started the fast at 130 and am down to 127 after only a few days, again I know this might sound extreme to some and like a lot of work but if its something your willing to try out you should so far I've noticed considerable energy gain and I just feel more fit overall of course I still want snacks during fasting time but as previously stated I supplement that with the water. I know its more than exercise but honestly sometimes a good routine in itself is a huge helper.
Daddydompdx Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 I think the best thing is doing something that you can be consistent at so that it gives you results. I believe cardio would be best in order to lose any extra weight you may want to. Maybe see if there are any workout cardio videos aimed for kids that you could see yourself doing 3-5x per week. Start slow and be realistic about your goals and your willingness to particiapate. Ps. I think its great you and your daddy can talk about this without hard feelings
Guest Georgia-Daddy2 Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 @MsLittleRoom I have been doing something similar. I have a stomach condition and it's very picky about what I can eat. I can't eat breakfast ever. I usually just eat lunch, dinner, and maybe a snack. I have also went from drinking 3 or 4 sodas a day to 2 waters and a little Gatorade. So far in 3 or 4 months I have went from 278 to 256. I have even decided to go to the gym semi regularly and try to loose more.
Guest curiousmiddle Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 Play tag outside. Go swimming (and make sure to bring floaties and other pool toys).
MsLittlesRoom Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 Hats off to you georgiadaddy thats an awesome improvement! I wish you all the luck in the world getting to your goal weight what ever that may be. I would definitely agree to start slow regardless of which method you choose. For me the fast was a simple thing as I already pretty much did it, if you try and cant do it, thats ok! Honestly anything you do in the weight loss area is gonna be all about the try you put into it. So dont worry deyabear that weight will disappear before you know it!

I think its great you and your daddy can talk about this without hard feelings I'm gonna try to run and walk more often, I just get out of breath to darn easily! And yeah, my Daddy says he loves me no matter what, and it's kind of a silly thing he says after I eat: He'll poke my tummy and say "Look at my little bears tummy! You're gettin fluffy." I've been with him long enough for him to see me on the skinnier side and the chunkier side, he says he doesn't mind either, but I wanna stay healthy for him and maybe instead of being cute n chuncky be smexy and slim >w<

Frisbee in a park or on the beach, I LOVE the trampoline! And well uh... i never actually learned how to ride a bike, and i'd feel too embarrassed to go out with training wheels I'll have to go swimming when it gets a bit warmer where I live, and frisbee is great! I never thought of that so thank you!

That actually sounds wonderful, I'm lazy at heart and i sleep a lot so I could sleep most the day, and eat a snack or two in the day (healthy ones of course, I love fruit) cause im too lazy to make actual meals unless my Daddy is over, then i cook him a GIANT meal cause he eats like an elephant >w<
LittleSweetCheeks Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Have you considered taking a class? It can be fun and fitness at the same time. If not, maybe roller skating, going on walks, jumping rope, etc. Can you do things together, like go to the park? The playground equipment can be a real workout!
LittleGoddess Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Ice skating, playing tag, riding a bike (or tricycle), climbing trees, gymnastics and tumbling.
Daddyslol Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Water aerobics/swimming can be "little'd" up easily and doesn't have to go fast enough to make you lose breath.
TwilightSparklez Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 I LOVE the trampoline! I'm glad you like the suggestions I'll be honest with you, I'm like the one person on the planet who forgot how to ride a bike and I'm relearning with the use of training wheels so technically your not alone there.
CuriousAndLittle Posted February 24, 2018 Report Posted February 24, 2018 I like to play "Just Dance". It really appeals to my little side because of the cool colors and fun dances! Plus, they have some Disney songs too for when I feel like being extra little 1

cuppycakes Posted February 25, 2018 Report Posted February 25, 2018 I'll mention the app Sworkit Kids! I've tried it a few times and I like it a lot, there's kids on the screen doing the workout and you just follow along with what they do! You can also make your own custom workouts so that's cool. I second swimming, tho! I always feel so nice swimming and after a few hours I'm exhausted. It really takes a lot of energy.
Cassiel_pup Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Running! I love running and I go running 5 days a week. HIIT workouts are really good as well. And any bodyweight exercise. I love calisthenics because you can do them practically anywhere and they're super effective! Pushups, planks, squats, sit ups ... there are so many exercises with countless variations! I've also heard good things about pilates, so you might want to give it a go.
