BabyGirlDumb Posted June 25, 2015 Report Posted June 25, 2015 I'm a little/middle, and my Daddy just calls me Baby Girl, as a cute pet-name c: Although I found this, which describes it a little more: In BDSM, a "Little" is someone who enjoys spending time being a younger age in a BDSM dynamic. That person, as a "little", could be either submissive or dominant, or a switch. Or not have a role dynamic at all, just enjoy exploring their younger self. A "little can actually be any age, not just a baby. And of course a little can be of any gender, not just a girl. I've met "littles" who were aged 3 or 4, others who were of school age, and yet others who were just entering "puberty". A babygirl, of course, doesn't have to be of a "baby" age. A Daddy Dom might refer to his submissive as his babygirl, even though she doesn't exhibit "little" behaviour.
The Perennial Princess Posted June 25, 2015 Report Posted June 25, 2015 My papa bear put it to me this way: "A little girl can take care of herself but a baby cannot. She needs constant love, attention, and nurturing." This was in response to the fact that I used to refer to myself as a little girl before I lapsed into 'being a baby' which the papa bear preferred. He didn't feel as much of a papa bear when I was a little girl but came to embrace the role more fully once we began referring to me as a 'baby' or 'baby bear.' Papa bear identifies more strongly with being a caretaker when he views himself as being more or less responsible for my entire well being and safety. It gives him more of a purpose to protect and watch over something so small and innocent. My babiness just generally consists of cutesy babbling, 'baby crying' noises when I'm distressed and or confused, hand gestures, requiring attention, and guidance. This behavioral dynamic works better for us for some reason and I'm happy to embrace it. It started when papa bear used to rub my back in order to help my tummy aches as if I were a baby. I do consider myself a little, I am very little girl ish, but I'm not bratty, and am always happy to learn and be guided by my papa bear. I suppose it's just the understanding that when in little mode, I need constant supervision and attention, am not particularly independent, and am not punished for anything because "I don't know better, I'm just a baby!"
freckledfawn Posted June 25, 2015 Report Posted June 25, 2015 of course, all those who engage in the dd/lg-type lifestyle are unique and can certainly do things their own way under their own definitions, but here is the best explanation for the difference between a baby girl and a little girl, acknowledged by the library for kinksters on tumblr. i personally identify as a baby girl! <3 2
