Guest Rainbow Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Hello folks. I've got a pal that is looking for some really good websites to find info and support regarding asexuality. I'm thinking forums, personals, info sheets. Anyone familiar with this and can point her in some good directions? She is still new, hasn't even fully admitted it yet. She wants a companion. Any help is appreciated, thanks! Advice too if ya got it
ashwee Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 This is good: http://www.asexuality.org/home/
Guest Rainbow Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Thank you Ashwee. Any other sites you know of that you have found helpful? Or what your advice would be to someone newly discovering this aspect of herself?
ashwee Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Thank you Ashwee. Any other sites you know of that you have found helpful? Or what your advice would be to someone newly discovering this aspect of herself? I would say to try to talk to other asexual people. Talking about it with others should help you work things out. Both myself and my bf/daddy are asexual. We're both usually in chat if you ever wanted to talk to either of us about it
PrincessBunnieButt Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I would also suggest to look around on Tumblr. For all its faults there are some good, supportive and informative blogs about asexuality. I don't have any on hand but I will link them if they come up on my feed again. 1

So like if your going to be reading about a subject please please please google things. More so if people try and reference a study or something that ends up not even be real. I mean, tumblr makes up a lot of stuff. >.> so just becareful with that site.
gah!ghost Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Like ashwee said, AVN (asexuality.org) is the best and only site I really know about. The only other thing I would suggest is having her listen to the Stuff You Should Know episode on it. It actually helped me a lot with accepting it and I even wrote into the show which they later read on-air (though I have no idea which episode it was). http://www.stuffyoushouldknow.com/podcasts/how-asexuality-works/
Guest Rainbow Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 thanks guys! i've passed along the info
