LittleKitten13 Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 I found some glowsticks that I'd forgotten about, and they still work...so I thought.... For littles who like nightlights, they could just use a glowstick on some nights! Fun, multiple colors, and you can play with them a bit before bed! 1
neko Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 thats a super cute idea!! I love the nightlights Ikea has. They're silicone and come in different shapes! my daddy has two ghost ones that are so adorable! 1
Guest Arc Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 Glow sticks are a terrible idea as they are single use and that creates so much plastic waste if you're using them multiple times a week. Maybe invest in a real night light or some fun LED toys that can be reused....

Maybe invest in a real night light or some fun LED toys that can be reused.... Well, I did say to be used on some nights. The best part about glow sticks is that you have to break them for them to work, which is fun. If you break a night light or LED toy, you've just...kinda...lost it.
Guest Arc Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 (edited) Some nights still adds up to a lot of unnecessary waste over time. Use them if you have them but buying them to do it "some nights" is very wasteful. Its a horrible idea in my opinion. But I guess that's because I actually care about my actions and how they impact the environment haha. Edited February 9, 2018 by ArcOfInfinity
neko Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 This was suppose to be a fun idea not a lecture on how we're ruining the planet. 1
Guest Arc Posted February 9, 2018 Report Posted February 9, 2018 Stating that it's bad for the environment is hardly a lecture on how we're ruining the planet. I didn't get into how bad plastics are or how bad the chemicals are. I didn't say you are ruining the planet, so don't accuse me of things I did not do. I literally just stated that it's wasteful. And that LED toys are a good alternative and you can get awesome things like star projectors that are calming and pretty, so again, no need to over react and throw accusations. But hey, if creating non-degradable and toxic waste is your idea of fun then.... whatever. It's not worth my effort trying to talk if my words are falling on deaf ears.
x0xPetite_Lapinx0x Posted April 24, 2022 Report Posted April 24, 2022 They have Disney princess nightlights at dollar tree! I love those! 1
Vampiress Posted April 25, 2022 Report Posted April 25, 2022 Things I'd recommend are:1.) toys that glow (I have an original 80s Glo Worm but there have been much more recent iterations of this toy). 2.) Nightlights, there's so many varieties. 3.) String lights. 4.) Smart light bulbs. I have some of these. Mine can change colors and brightness/dimness and are super fun and I can control them with my phone and not even have to get up out of bed. 5.) Glow in the dark wall stickers (like stars, planets, dinosaurs, etc there's so many kinds) 2
Faerin Posted April 28, 2022 Report Posted April 28, 2022 When I was really young I had these light up bouncy balls that had a bunch of colorful LEDs when you hit it against the wall or floor. Also, you could get those light up shoes but I'm not sure you would want to put shoes on at bed time lol. The bouncy ball wouldnt stay lit long but as a fun addition to other stuff! There are also just a bunch of really cute and pretty night lights out there! There are those ones that display stuff like stars on your ceiling and play music or nature sounds! So many options!
CuteToBe Posted May 9, 2022 Report Posted May 9, 2022 Hmmm that depends on what you like if your head or eyes are really sensitive then you might want something dimmer (you know not the standard yellow light) A dim pink, blue or green maybe or color changes actually that sounds fun. You got options towards flashlights, night lights, lamps or even string lights. It's all about space and personality. There's also a number of light up toys if you're looking for something cute or comforting. Don't forget rechargeable batteries!
WigglyBun Posted May 9, 2022 Report Posted May 9, 2022 My favourite night lights so far are the following:Brand: MUID (their site has a lot of cute night lights if you check their shop online - not sure how many are on amazon)Dull Duck Sleep Lamp - He is very soft and has 2 different lightings, one is a bit softer which is lovely for bedtime. He also has a timer (15 mins, 30 mins) or can stay on until he needs to recharge. The best part, you can softly squeeze or bonk him and the light will go off or on so you don't need to mess with a switch if you are smol.Brand: GlobeLED Color Changing Lamp - They have unicorn, octopus, whale and dino (possibly more?), versions. It is rechargable, and silicon, and if you softly bonk it it changes colors or cycles through a few colours. I do believe it shuts off after a certain amount of time and has no timer options that I am aware of.
MunchkinFairyPrincess Posted July 8, 2022 Report Posted July 8, 2022 I personally love fairy lights, i'ts a good idea to snag them during christmas time if you can't find them! as for other favorites i personally love projector lights! As a little with fear of the dark it helps me feel much better when i'm having a bad day with it.
Andriel_Isilien Posted July 8, 2022 Report Posted July 8, 2022 Fairy lights are a classic! 😁 I have them on every evening as I wind down. Then when I'm actually going to bed I switch to my salt lamp. I love the warm glow it gives. So cozy!
